“Gateway has been our go-to for oil changes, tires, and vehicle repairs for years. They are fantastic to work with, honest, and fairly priced. They never try to upsell and always explain what they think needs to be done, giving multiple options. We won’t go elsewhere!Services: General repairs & maintenance”

“I had new tires out on September 2023 and as of now July 2024. I have been in with tire issues 2/3 times since and have since for the last 10 months had a lot of vibration since. Each time they were willing to help and I’d say did a good job trying but the issue was never resolved. I figured I’d bring g it in for a rotation again to see if that would help. Turns out my tires were worn at 13,000 out of an 81,000 warranty. They offered new tires at 40.00 each which I think was a decent deal for an on the spot decision. So for 173.00 I got new and nicer tires then what I originally had and as of the last 5 miles home didn’t notice the vibrations…. Fluke? Bad first set of tires…. Not sure but hope it stayed this way.
Also, Terry the mechanic that worked with me was very friendly, I could tell was willing to go the extra mile for me and was very nice and Easy to understand when explaining things to me as well. I would certainly work with him again. He was even nice enough to honk his horn at us to wave 45 minutes later when we were side by side from him at a stop light across town. lol!!

Hoping the new tires is the fix I needed!!!!
Thanks!”

“Stopped here for a 40K milestone maintenance while on a roadtrip. You've heard of Minnesota nice—it's real: unlike every single west coast Honda service department, who will stop at nothing to bamboozle customers and upsell on unneeded maintenance, these guys were shockingly honest, friendly, and kind.

To illustrate, I drive a meticulously-maintained late-model manual-transmission Honda. At my previous service in the Los Angeles area, the tech told me with a straight face that I needed to have my CVT timing serviced (whatever that means), attached to an arbitrary $650 estimate. When I pointed out that the car had no CVT, she insisted that it was a maintenance required by Honda and threatened that my warranty would be void if I chose not to do it. A few rounds of argument later, she then tried to convince me I needed a total brake job (at 20K miles), which I easily showed her was objectively untrue just by eyeballing the pristine condition of the brakes. After the basic service was "completed," I checked the work before pulling out and noticed that the old oil filter had been left on AND the protective bottom cover was missing... I confronted the same service person, found the bottom plate lying on the floor a few bays away from the service desk and demanded they change the oil properly. Said service person continued to act like I was inconveniencing the shop, and never apologized for the wild dishonesty. They sell so many Hondas in Southern California that local dealerships know they have people over a barrel, and accordingly, treat them like absolute garbage – I cannot fathom how much they must rip off people who don't know basic car maintenance.

These Luther St. Cloud guys, on the other hand, did the oil change quickly and efficiently (all parts perfectly in place!), ran the usual diagnostics, checked alignment, tire tread and brakes and didn't attempt to upsell nonsense extras. They were even cool with me buying and installing my own air filters from their parts department (engine and in-cabin, so easy) to save the $75 or so on labor – I swapped the filters in a couple minutes in their parking lot, they even disposed of the old ones for me, and I drove away one happy camper. The remaining 5000 miles of the roadtrip were worry-free. Thank you so much!

So glad to know Minnesota is still mostly full of nice, honest people. The service guys even gave me a great recommendation for a local lunch spot. 10 stars for Luther St. Cloud Honda!”

“Wonderful shop! My lovely girlfriend got her car done here and I was along for the ride, everybody was very friendly, informative, and accommodating. She ended up getting suddenly nauseous when we picked up the car and one of the staff Jamie looked all around the shop and then the main store until he found a first aid kit with the appropriate medication - talk about customer service! Big thanks Jamie, it made our day so much better!”
