First time visiting since new owners. Very friendly and helpful staff. A broad variety of fabrics, well organized. Minky in every color! Still a very big store though. Perhaps they could consolidate a little.

I really miss the old Gruber’s Quilt Store when Sue owned it! I was always excited to step into the store and look at all the fabric. Now, I walk in and think what a shame…. I went to the store to purchase MN shop hop fabric and thread…. First of all we are Minnesotan, we love Paul Bunyan and Duck Duck Grey Duck (that is what we are known for) Gruber’s failed to order and carry this fabric… Second of all, When I found the thread, half of the thread was out of stock..(Please stock your damn thread it’s a quilting and sewing store) also all the quilting tools Sue stocked are not there or very few.Third of all, there was a elderly lady employee training who was very kind and her trainer was rude and was hovering over her the whole time ( give the lady some damn space to work and try to learn) and would cut her off when she was trying to ask me if I was a rewards member…. I told the trainer “I think she was trying to ask me that before you cut her off.” It’s called respect your elders and you should be grateful she came out of retirement to help and work at Grubers! Fourth of all, to the store owner you knew taking over Grubers, you would have high expectations! Us Grubers fans loved Grubers! Sue put her heart and soul into her store and we expect the same!

Cozy little shop. Wasn’t very helpful and rude like. Bought a ten minute table runner kit and the instructions are unreadable due to poor print quality like the machine was out of ink.

They did not honor my $100 gift card because apparently the store has changed ownership since I was last here, then were tacky enough to suggest that gift cards in the future should be fine.

Grubers was sold a year ago. I found the NEW personal very nice, friendly,and willing to help. Because of world events and their being a new shop they are having troubles with their stocking. Their orders are shorted. They order ten bolts and get 4. Give them some time and they'll be up to the expectations we associate with the name GRUBERS.

They have the best selection of quilting fabrics probably in the nation. A great staff, abundant parking and chances are - what you are looking for.

What a place! The selection of fabrics here was truly impressive and Gloria was a real pleasure to work with. I don't live in the St. Cloud area, but consistently make this quilting shop a destination not to be missed when I am in the area.
