This lobby was closed so I went through the drive-through. We ordered a western bacon burger combo and a mushroom Swiss combo. For the Western bacon burger, I wanted it without cheese, and on a sourdough bun. I also asked for some ketchup before they parked me. When they brought the order out, They had made the western burger without the sourdough bun. They also forgot the ketchup packets i asked for. Lobby is closed so you have back to the drive through window. Informed the cashier of the gaffe and he became visibly flustered and bolted off. A different worker came to ask me to move from the window while they remade my food and I asked them to please remember the ketchup this time and sat at one of the picnic tables in front of the store. They made the sandwich wrong again (it was not a complicated order), giving me a burger nowhere close to what I ordered and gave me a sack that was filled with nearly a pound of ketchup packets. (I only needed like 4 packets). When I asked for a refund (which I had to request/demand mutilple times because they tried ignoring me and leaving me outside the store holding the sandwiches they struggled to assemble correctly), the manager pretended to process one, then she refused to give me a receipt for it(because she didn't do it) resulting in me refusing to move from the drive through window till they gave me the receipt for the refund. The assistant manager finally came and processed it, and they for some reason gave me me a photocopy of the receipt (they tried telling me they couldn't give me a copy). During the ordeal, when it became clear that the situation was escalating and that I was going to have to be aggressive to get my refund, I started filming with my mobile phone. While I was filming, the manager stood at the cash register, wiping her runny nose and mouth numerous times and then touching that shared a point of sale system that the other Hardees employees touch prior to handling customers food. Absolutely nasty! I finally got the refund and receipt, but then, after leaving, we were pulled over by police. Why the cops? They had called the police on me for "trespassing", resulting in my having to explain this stores utter ineptitude to a law enforcement officer who was doing his best to remain professional and impartial but clearly saw how ridiculous it all was. After about 2 minutes, we were on our way again. The manager had falsely accused me of entering the store, which I never did. I did open the door to the drive-through a couple of times and yelled inside for assistance, because they were no employees in sight, and I wanted them to remember that somebody was waiting for them outside. I can understand the manager not exactly enjoying a customer yelling into her restaurant, but this customer didn't exactly enjoy being left out on the sidewalk and ignored by multiple employees after paying for a meal and not getting what they paid for. So to summarize: a Hardee's manager yelled at a customer whose order they repeatedly messed up, and when they got forced to produce proof of the refund, they instead called the police and stood there wiping her nose with her bare hand while I filmed it. There was no need for any of it, and it was all perpetuated by the immature staff who fail to realize they work at a store, and what exactly what means for the patrons foolish enough to try eating there.
