UPDATED REVIEW: Initially I posted a 1 star review regarding a lemon purchased through this dealership. I purchased a vehicle for my mother and then had months of headaches with issues with it. During those months the customer service, management, and the unwillingness to provide any actual resolution to the issues I have voiced were extremely disappointing. Our problems started with transmission issues 2 weeks after I purchased a certified pre owned vehicle. Their service department took a look at the vehicle, drained the transmission fluid, and called to tell me that they found metal pieces and clutch fragments in the transmission fluid but that it was ready for pick up. I questioned this and in turn they looked at it again and decided the transmission needed to be rebuilt. At this point, I didn't even want the vehicle anymore. They ended up having the vehicle for 6 weeks. We had hoped this would be the end of the issues but it was only been the beginning. After that we experienced several issues including the backup camera coming on and staying on when in drive, the AWD malfunction service light coming on (and continuing to come on after the sensors were replaced), the AWD module needed to be replaced, then the car couldn't be programmed, we had to put in a new battery, then the RWD malfunction light came on, and finally the rear drive unit was full of metal and needed to be replaced. We would literally get one issue fixed, start driving it home, and another issue would pop up. We spent more time in a loaner vehicle than the vehicle we purchased.
I discussed these issues with all department managers including the GM. At one point, no one was answering my phone calls or emails any longer and I never received calls back to the messages I left. We spent a lot of money on the vehicle and the fixes for it. It was a nightmare.
After months of this, I wanted to update this post to reflect that Sonju did end up taking my concerns seriously and did work with me to find a resolution. We are definitely out some money for the repairs/licensing but Sonju did work with me to find a solution we could both agree on. I updated my review from a 1 star to a 3.

We were traveling from out of town and started having car troubles in a 2014 chev Cruz. We pulled in with the car barley running and spoke with Rein. She got us in within minutes and the tech had the car fixed within an hour. Amazing service and saved the vacation.

They sell plenty, but their service department/ repairs take FOREVER. They had our almost 3 weeks for a bolt. With little to no communication- we had to keep calling them to get updates.
They do have classic car events & lits of atv/utv options on the lot.

Justin and his team run the best dealership in the area. The care and service they provided was top notch. They made the car-buying process transparent, easy, and enjoyable. I would do business with them again and will be referring friends + family their way.

Issue is that I bought a car and they did not disclosed major issues with the car. Bought a car from the dealership and we went through the car and discussed some of the things that were to be fixed before they were going to deliver the car to my home. These items were fixed and the car was delivered to my house. However when the car was delivered to my house the check engine light was on and I found out that the car needed a filter and a fuel injector. They did not disclose that the car needed a DPF Filter and a fuel injector they just dropped the car and left. I went to the dealership and asked if they could help me with these items and they refused any kind of help and I then took the car to the Volkswagen dealer in Duluth for the repairs. I got the car repaired and sent Sonja emails regarding the bill and they will not help me with this issue. I bought this car on May 25th 2024 and drove it for a week before I had to bring it in for the major repairs. I feel that they hid these issues from me and now they are ignoring me. I paid a total of $12,934.00 for the car and then had to put $5700 into if for repairs a week later.
Buyer beware.

While on Vacation we experienced an issue with our Ford Explorer- we stopped in to Sonju and they took care of us on the spot. Would totally recommend this dealership. Thank you Josh for your expertise and kind professionalism.

The sales rep listened to me describe my needs and helped to match me with the best vehicle to fit those needs, he was very patient and polite while answering all my questions, very friendly from start to finish assuring it was as stress free and pleasant as possible, I left the dealership feeling extremely satisfied with the vehicle I chose and experience had while going through the process of finding, then purchasing the right vehicle, several days later I am still extremely happy with my vehicle and overall experience at dealership and look forward to doing future business with them.

We were on vacation from southern Wisconsin hauling a travel trailer. My engine light came on and I wanted to know the issue before we continued all the way around Lake Superior. All I wanted was to have my engine light code read. That takes 7 minutes at most. It was about 8am. They said I could make an appointment for 3 hours later. I went down the road about 7 minutes to an O'Reilly's and the nicest guy got me in and out in 10 minutes. I got the code I wanted & for free.

Despite some surprising, unexpectedly discovered issues, the front struts replacement on our older sedan was done in the expected time frame. There was a lot of extra work involved. We appreciated being updated as the work progressed. Our car now drives so much better. Everyone at the service desk and throughout the dealership was very pleasant, courteous and accommodating!

My truck broke down on day 3 of a 2 week camping trip. I was almost 2 hours north of two harbors and the local mechanics in grand Marais couldn't figure out the issue. Josh the service manager at sonju went above and beyond to get my truck in for service asap. When parts needed to be ordered Josh set me up with a loaner and then delivered my truck to me the next day. Josh and Sonju saved our camping trip, I would highly recommend them and will consider driving the 1.5 hours from my house to them for any major service that is needed in the future.

Brought my pickup in for an emissions notice and leaking tire. They weren’t able to find the emissions code as the scanner wasn’t working or they maybe didn’t know how to use it. They removed the tire and couldn’t find the leak even though it requires air daily. Quoted $149 and charged $199. Only wasted three hours in the fruitless effort. Oh well, maybe your luck will be better.
