I have waited for around a month to make this review. Mostly because it has been intensely difficult to come to terms with losing a beloved pet that meant the world to us.We have been going to this clinic since I was small child when the doctors were all different and so was the ownership. Even after the change of ownership we decided to stay with them even though we live over an hour away. This turned out to be a wonderful decision on our part. These doctors and staff fought so hard to save our cat. They worked with us financially and gave him the absolute best care that they possibly could. As the price continued to grow they continued to do everything they could to make his care financially feasible without cutting any corners with his care and doing everything they could. At the end of the day we had to make the incredibly difficult decision of euthanasia. The emotional support and understanding that they gave us is absolutely irreplaceable. As we sat in that room as he passed, they were there for us in a way that I cannot even begin to thank them for.Dr. Broytman called us and keeping us updated as much as he possibly could throughout the week, Dr. Brown spent an entire night with our boy on her own time to care for him, or Kelly being there with us through the whole euthanasia process giving us support, and then the beautiful card they sent us...I simply cant imagine a better care team.As long as I am in this area, there is no other place or people that I could possibly trust the care of my pets with. Thank you all so much. I know that words cant even do justice to how grateful we are to you all.

Deepest appreciation and respect to Dr. Brown, Juliyana Lebsach and the team at Lake County Vet.Friday night, 5:00 we had an emergency with our much loved Yellow lab, Venus.Dr. Brown found a twisted bladder-an extremely rare and life-threatening condition. She IMMEDIATELY conducted life-saving surgery and treated her as her own.In todays world, it’s rare to such a level of care and excellence.Thank you.Colette and GaryWolf Den RetrieversDuluth, Mn

Absolutely recommend Lake County Vet. They truly care for your pet. My dog has had a few surgeries and Dr Brown and all the staff have always ensured she is well cared for. They’ve always been very adaptable and reachable for all questions and concerns. If you needing a new vet, I highly encourage you to give them a call!

I brought my pup in for a tumor in her mouth and one on her back. They were not experienced to deal with either but ran up a $3000 bill and did not address the issue. They cleaned her teeth pulled two teeth and ran a biopsy. Hardly worth $1000 let alone what they charged. After bringing me down this rabbit hole thinking they were helping my pup it was clear they were not at all experienced to deal with this complicated surgery and Dr Brown had to consult her college professor as I found out she had fairly recently graduated. They should have told me from the start they were not experienced to handle the issues Jayda had and referred me elsewhere. I had to go to another vet and have the tumors removed for only $734. Beware of their complicated and padded estimates and the way they cunningly convince you they are going to do this or that and are there to help. When I picked my dog up she was over medicated for days and it was a horrible experience all the way around. I will be making a formal complaint to the State Veterinary Board. The mistakes made by this vet cost my pup further pain and suffering as it grew by the time we were able to get to a competent Vet and have the issue remedied. If you have had a similar experience with this clinic contact me on Facebook I will be posting. “Justice for Jayda” post and will be rounding up others who have been taken advantage of by this clinic. It is completely immoral to use our beloved animals in this manner.

My male cat was diagnosed with a UTI after I discovered multiple urinations that had a red tinge. I brought him in time after time to this vet and they continued to give him pain meds and antibiotics. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars and several months as nothing was helping, as he continued to show different symptoms. They just kept pushing pain meds on me. One night, I had to take him to the afterhours emergency vet in Duluth as this vet was closed and he was unable to urinate (again). The vet on staff took one look at him and said we needed to look further into this and hooked him up to an ultrasound. He immediately saw a huge tumor on my cat's bladder, and I had to put him to sleep that night as it was incurable. Lake County Vet Clinic misdiagnosed him for months and never told me that they did not have an ultrasound machine at their clinic. They could have spotted this cancer immediately and my cat would not have had to go through such painful last months, not to mention the $5000 I spend for an inaccurate diagnosis. The money isn't an issue, the fact that they didn't tell me they didn't have the equipment to make the cancer diagnosis is malpractice.

When my dog got sick, both times they were able to get him checked in right away. They did the very best they could to help him with the utmost care and compassion possible. A few weeks later when I brought him there to be laid to rest, I was touched by how empathetic and generous they were to me and my little bear. I said I couldn't afford the extra fees to keep his ashes, but they still gave him back to me anyway, and in a beautiful carved wood box. These are the most genuine caring veterinarians I've ever met and I'm forever grateful.

Covid protocols were burdensome and prices were not competitive for Duluth area. The vets were great, but the some of the techs shared their opinions when I didn’t feel it was needed.

Greetings,This is a first for the history books! Holly had ear surgery this morning to connect a birth defect of her ear canal. This birth defect was first discovered by Dr. John's and then confirmed by Dr. Hagopian. We first went to the U of M where they said the ear canal could not be reconstructed as they do in humans. I said, "not our puppy, it can be done". We consulted with Dr. Grace Brown, Medical Director at Lake County Veterinary Hospitals who referred us to Blue Pearl in Arden Hills. For the first time ever Holly's ear canal was reconstructed to a normal ear canal from the birth defect. Dr. Kathryn Kaufman at Blue Pearl, Arden Hills, is the first to perform this surgery on Holly. She is not out of the woods yet but has all the good signs after a successful surgery. We have Holly in our thoughts and prayers as she recovers over the next few weeks. We do not know about her hearing as time will tell but everything is in place for our most dear puppy daughter to be able to hear. ? Thank you to Dr. Grace Brown for research and referral so Holly could get the specialty care that she needed and to Dr. Johns and Hagopian for their keen knowledge finding this defect! I also want to put a shout out to Dr. Blomstrand for Holly's recent spay surgery. Holly recovered quickly.

The receptionist is snotty. It is under new management and they are charging double for services. After Dr Lucy left I am very disappointed in services and pricing. The doctor did a poor job on stitching my cat back up from surgery.

This is by far the best veterinary clinic in the Duluth area. They have qualified, experienced staff that know how to do their jobs. Prices are fair for the specialized work they perform. I wouldn’t take my Frenchies anywhere else.
