Only reviewing since I have had so much difficulties trying to contact this place. I was able to get responses on fb messenger which told me to call the number they provided. I have left several messages but never got a response. Now it looks like I am blocked on fb messages. I am not sure what has happened but I was really looking forward to learning more about this place and to get back into riding - after several years off and missing it dearly.

A 5 start review still doesn't really do justice to how wonderful this barn is. From the owners, to the staff, to the community, the facilities, the land, the location--it just can't be beat. For those who are looking for a safe, supportive, and trustworthy barn for your equine partner, you have found your forever home in NBEC. As for specifics, NBEC offers ample pasture and paddock turn-out, horses are grouped for optimal fit and wellbeing, hay is super high-quality, the facility is available for year-round riding. This is a no-drama barn with exceptionally friendly riders and a very supportive, team-oriented culture. On-site trainers and visiting clinicians are world-class. Owners are approachable, friendly, and engaged with three of their own horses boarding and competing at the barn (i.e. they are "barn people" through and through). I happened upon NBEC by accident years ago and can't believe how lucky I am to have found it. Horse care and boarding is a big and personal decision, but if any reading this review are in the market, I couldn't more highly recommend including NBEC in your list to consider and tour. (Oh and for context, over the past 4 years I have been a catch rider, fill-in staff, and I now own and board a horse at the facility, so I've kinda been in all barn roles/ seen the ins and outs from the perspective of staff, infrequent lessonees, and horse owners).

I have lessoned here for over 5 years and boarded for four years. I now lease a horse here. Northbrook is the farm I dreamed about as a little girl. The grounds are lovely and include well-managed pastures, a very large indoor ring with jump and barrels, a grass arena, a large cross-country course with open areas for schooling, and a connection to the Gateway trail system. The other boarders are great and the employees are caring and competent horse people. There are jumping, cross country, and dressage lessons. I have learned so much here and it has been the site of some of my happiest memories.

Northbrook is a wonderful facility for both horses and their owners. There are a variety of lessons and trainers available as well as many clinics throughout the year. Our horse has thrived in the environment — top notch grain and hay, excellent pasture, limited numbers of horses in paddock, exceptional stall condition and paddock. The arena is temp controlled with great footing and amazing viewing area. The entire facility is clean and well maintained with coordinated access to farrier, horse blanket cleaning and vet visits. One of the best thing about Northbrook is the caring community of people you get to be a part of. We LOVE Northbrook and appreciate Jan and the team she has put together to care for our horse, and us!

North Brook Farm is a true gem of a facility! Jan assures that the horses are so well cared for and her years of experience and expertise are invaluable. Jumping lessons for all levels, dressage, clinics, trail riding, and more are the reasons I’d never consider moving my horse.

We’ve known Jan Fisk for the past 15 years when my daughter began Eventing. We originally lived in WI, but now live in MN. She boarded 2 of her horses here. They were well cared for and the training facilities are beautiful! She also brings in top clinicians.

Awesome place for boarding and equestrian events! Really nice riding areas and access to numerous trails. North Brook is a close and friendly community of horse enthusiasts.

Northbrook is an awesome equestrian facility. Jan Fisk is a very knowledgeable trainer. The team is professional and takes great care of the horses. The barn community is friendly and supportive. It is primarily an Eventing center with a lot of opportunities to further your riding/training knowledge. There is a huge indoor with excellent footing, a large cross country course, and access to the Gateway trail system. The farm is well taken care of. My horses have never been happier.

Beautiful facility. Everyone is super friendly. We just visited a friend, who brought her horse over from Europe and he instantly felt comfortable in his new home.

The place is Nice however the owner Jan and the Manager Molly do not know how to trear their employees. They out of no where hired 1 person to handle all the week chores which left everyone out of a job without more then a days notice. Then when that guy couldnt handle it they ask for their employess back. Then they just pick and choose who they want back... Do not try and work here... They need to pull the sticks out there ass's and stop thinking they are So HIGH AND MIGHTY.

I have been apart of the North Brook family for two years now. Not only do I board my horse here, I also work here. Jan Fisk is professional, caring, fair, and one of the best I have ever worked for. She is an excellent trainer, and has built my confidence and my riding skills, and has helped me improve more than I ever thought I could. The staff are warm, helpful, and care about the work that they do. My high maintenance horse is the happiest he has ever been. I would highly recommend working and or boarding here.
