SELF-care. This was the best experience! Inner and external peace, comfort, compassionate staff, delicious food by Dana (and clean eating), and most importantly connecting spiritually with nature! We can't wait to return. Thank you Joyce, Trisha and Dana for your hospitality!

I love it here. Everything about it is breathtaking. Everyone is treated like family with kindness and respect. If everyday life has you in a rut or is just too much and you just need a break from the world to reset your mind, this is where you need to be. You won't regret one second of time spent here.

Let me tell you, I HATE traveling or sleeping out of my home. But this retreat was something else, it was absolutely peaceful and beautiful. Everything and everyone there had hearts of gold. There is so much to explore in nature, a library, healing store, several rooms with their own sinks/vanity’s and private restrooms. Everything was made out of wood and Mother Nature. The cooks made the BEST meals that were so delicious and nutritious. Clean eating ? absolutely amazing and I will be back.♥️♥️

Majestic, transformative, peaceful, serene, spiritual, healing, restful, joy, and comfort are all words I would use to describe the ARC Retreat Center. I attended a 3-day women's retreat in early November and found exactly what I was seeking: rest. Located far enough from the cities, the natural quiet from polluted cars and air were really amplified in this space. Whatever you are seeking out, I trust you can find it by spending one or a few nights here. Upon entry, the staff had each room labeled on a sign so it was clear what room I would be in. I stayed in the main cabin which was a beautiful A-Framed building with a combination of single and double rooms. Amongst the 3-floors, there are various fire places, meditation spaces, tea/coffee/water stations, couches, art supplies, reading materials, big spacious windows, and a dining hall. Every meal was handmade from breakfast, lunch and dinner. These meals were nourishing for the soul and included various soups (yes, you can buy their Cook Book on site), breads, salads, teas and baked goodies. My favorite soup was the butternut squash with pomegranate seeds and parsley sprinkled on top! The kitchen staff is beautiful and really poured their hearts into hospitality and cooking. Each meal was greeted with a gentle chime so we understood the food was ready. Before each meal, we were always given the menu and read a prayer/reading. I appreciated that a few staff members would participate in these readings. Shout out to Anthony (great rich voice and so generous), Deb, and Brad (shout out on the mayonnaise buns). On my second day, the director came and spoke to us at lunch and shared the story of the Arc. The exterior grounds allow for play time and exploration with numerous trails and paths with a creek running just steps away. As I visited during hunting season, it was recommended to wear an orange vest/ hat (provided on-site). There is also an outside labyrinth and bonfire pit that anyone can use. If you feel like you need to get away, this is the place. Thank you, thank you for your hospitality when I needed it the most.

ARC Retreat Center and its people are a hidden gem. From the moment we stepped onto the beautiful land, we were met with warmth and kindness. Our group rented the Lodge and the Cabin to lead a 4-day retreat and couldn't be more appreciative of the staff and the space. We knew we were in good hands from our first encounter with the generous spirit of Patricia, who greeted each of our retreat guests and showed them to their rooms in the lodge. Joyce's supportive and embracing energy helped initiate our nightly fire circles and was always available to share a smile and help us with little details to ensure the smooth flow of our retreat. Andrea, the kitchen manager, went above and beyond to accommodate the dietary requests of our group, creating a beautiful Ayurvedic menu for us. This menu was then prepared with such love and enthusiasm by Dana and Jennifer in the kitchen that we could taste the love in the food! Suzanne, the Executive Director, took time to share the history of the incredible facility and ensure that our group had all it needed. The land, the buildings, the food, the labyrinth, and the entirety of the staff at ARC created the perfect container for our group to have an amazing retreat experience. We left with full hearts, immense gratitude, and a scheduled date to return next year!

I’m so lucky I found ARC when I needed it the most. I was there for 4 days and I already miss it! All the volunteers and the people I met there are very kind, calm and sweet. The whole experience was just soothing! The whole atmosphere is laid back and has a nice rhythm yet you can do variety of activities, everything is slow however compared to the life in a big city. I slowed down and found a relief. It's been over a week since I left and I am still feeling so much more peaceful. Some things I’ve leaned there will stay with me for a long time. I am so grateful for this wonderful getaway and such lovely people!

Just had a truly lovely retreat at their Hermitage. Felt God really used that space to help me slow down, check in and just be. The space if beautiful and inviting, and I felt so pampered by the hand delivered meals to my doorstep! I loved the cozy rocking chair looking out through huge picture windows, and the adjoining screened in porch to just listen to the wind through the trees. The staff too are very responsive to any requests for things if you run out, or find something missing. The only drawback for me was the bathroom situation - no running water in the hermitage. There is an outhouse closeby, and a little portapotty in the porch. Also, tanks of water for drinking and another one for the sink to do light washing. You have 24hr access to the main lodge for a regular bathroom/shower if you want - about a 5 min (if that) walk. But, it took some getting used to. It was ok for me, but a flushing toilet in the building and running water to wash my hands would've made the experience just that much more amazing! Also, not a reflection on the Hermitage of the center, but be extra prepared for the mosquito situation. The retreat center provides plenty of repellent and a mosquito netting hat - use them!! Even through my clothes, however, I got like 20 bites in less than an hour. Wearing 2 layers of thin pants however seemed to do the trick. That's why I was extra grateful for their lovely screen in porch - could enjoy the outdoors without fear of being eaten alive by mosquitoes - could not really have relaxed without it!

We can't say enough good things about our recent 2 1/2 day retreat at The Arc. The staff was extremely accommodating and met every request cheerfully and quickly. The meeting and sleeping rooms and the restrooms and showers were spotless. The food was creative and delicious, and the cook made sure everyone was very well fed, including those with food intolerances. Of course, the setting in the woods with majestic pine trees was magical. We'll be back!
