They just throw different medications at you hoping one sticks without doing any diagnosing. I was given medicine to treat something I didn't have! It's mostly nurse practitioners that see patients rather than doctors to save on costs, or a handful of physicians who get mediocre reviews in the civilian world. I haven't met any (Dr. or NP) with military experience here and they treat us like we're all just crazy. It's infuriating. I miss my active-duty medics. It was fine two years ago during the pandemic when the clinic wasn't busy because all the older veterans were staying home, but now that things are back to normal, they just want to push you out the door as quickly as possible.

The level of professionalism is top notch. The hall is decent and tasty. If you go and have to stay, bring a few snacks. Nothing to walk to for about 1.5 miles. Don't be afraid to ask for help. The staff will do everything they can to get you on the road to recovery

The level of incompetence and mistrust at this VA hospital is so bad that Stevie Wonder could see it.There needs to be an option to choose a provider in the community. I'm sick of going here. I'm sick of the people here.I'm sick of the widespread incompetence. Which is to be expected, when most of your providers aren't good enough to work at a more prestigious hospital.I'm sure they mean well. They're not exactly jerks, but benign neglect is still neglect.

I’ve heard many terrible stories about the VA health care system over the years and so with a little trepidation, I checked in at St Cloud VA Medical Center for the first time yesterday.I need not have been worrying because quite contrary to what I’ve heard, my experience with the staff was great! I was blown away by the level of professionalism and courteous attitude of everyone I encountered there at the St. Cloud facility. Some went out of their ways to accommodate me.These people truly cared about veterans and I’m very touched by the level of care shown to me.If you are a veteran with any need of medical care, I would encourage you to check it out for yourself.I am glad I did.How blessed we are to be taken care of by the best like this. Truly a marvelous.

I do all my medical at the VA and I am also an employee at the Saint Cloud VA. I love the background setting by the River so beautiful! But the professionalism of the staff is outstanding to say the least!

I have been at seven VA facilities in three different states and the St Cloud VA campus is above and beyond helpful, compassionate, active in providing for the needs of a disabled veteran and by far the best treatment campus I have had to spent time at receiving treatment. Not perfect, but what govt system is; but the people who work at the SCVA ARE what make this veterans affairs campus a caring environment. Urgent care staff are amazing, primary care staff, imaging, lab, pharmacy and specialty care to include mental health are all above the grade of most civilian hospitals. Has there been confusion, mistakes and missed “things”; yes. But to error is to be human and the staff at the VA in St Cloud are super human in the best possible way. The system might be broken; but the passion and dedication of those who wear the campus badge are wonderful, passionate people; who try their best to do what’s right under a system that wasn’t meant to care for the large amount of living veterans.

The Hospice Care my brother received August 2021 was above respect and care. Staff, Nurses were amazing. Chaplain Rev. Steve Person was sensitive and treated my brother with special care and ministry. I was awed by the departure of my brother when he left the VA Hospital. Staff, Nurses, patients and Rev Steve showed their respect to him. Very moving! Thank you all for your prayers and Support.Joy Christensen

I was calling to figure out if I had tri-care for life, I wanted to talk to my VA rep from Saint cloud and the lady I talked to was really rude and got short with me. I wasn't rude or anything until she became like that. Un acceptable especially since I was not being rude.

I was hung up on 4 times today. I have been lied to by numerous staff members. My doctor has put specific instructions into the st. Cloud va system that were to be followed and the staff refuses almost everytime. This facility is a joke that never takes into consideration the negative effect law enforcement has had on many of us veterans. This facility is pro police and likes to always pass the blame or lie to veterans and their caregivers who are in need of help or advice when dealing with a crisis. This VA loves involving police and to a minority of us veterans that does nothing but aid in the deterioration of our mental health.

Responsive and caring staff. The volunteers are wonderful. Nursing staff show they truly care. Doctors listen to the patients.
