The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA is a large and well-equipped facility offering a wide range of amenities for members. It features three gyms, a rock climbing wall, a pool with multiple sections, racquetball courts, and several pools, along with basketball courts and a running/walking track on the upper level. The facility is spacious and bright, with many windows and clean locker rooms that include a sauna and steam room. Staff members are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming environment for visitors. However, the YMCA tends to be very crowded, especially during popular classes like Zumba, which often have waitlists or limited times. Many reviewers mention the need for additional weight training areas or duplicate machines to reduce wait times. Membership is considered expensive by some, especially during non-winter months when attendance drops. The rock climbing wall is appreciated but could benefit from regular updates or changes to keep challenges fresh, ideally at least once a month. Some concerns include issues with locker security, as personal belongings have been stolen, and the time taken to register new members. The sauna temperature is often too low to serve its purpose effectively, which has been a point of disappointment. Despite these issues, many users praise the YMCA for its modern equipment, cleanliness, and staff that genuinely care about members. Overall, it is viewed as one of the best gyms in St. Cloud, especially for those seeking a friendly environment and comprehensive facilities.
Had things stolen from me on 2 separate occasions. Staff was helpful but overall major inconvenience and will not recommend this gym to anyone.

Been going there for years. I had an Old profile picture and the dude working said it doesn’t look like me. Didn’t have my wallet on me so he wouldn’t let me in. Went straight to another gym and bought a membership. Sad
