They allow transgender people to touch them as they stay in the females rooms . They allow syringes in the room. They discriminate people on being white. And calling us the n word. And they do evictions on vulnerable adults for doing the right thing. They should be shut down.

When it's cold outside and you are in a pinch this place is a great place. 3 meals a day, a warm place to lay your head, and great staff.

In December 2019 I was staying at the Salvation Army homeless shelter, I was addicted to drugs and completely hopeless and thought I was helpless as well. I called out to Jesus to save me and he put a man named Rick in my path who I finally broke down to and told him I needed help. He pointed me down the right path and I went to MN Adult & Teen Challenge not long after. Today I’ve been sober over 3 years and I have my family back plus many many more blessings. Rick, you’re a angel. Thank you !

Very wonderful. I go for the food assistance. A great help in since I am on a fixed income. The people who work there are wonderful and very friendly.

It was cool and everything I was directed by Big Lake Police Department they called up and scheduled me to get in and when I went up there no one would let me in and it was of course 10:00 at night but still the cops arrange this for me to go in there so the very next day I went in and there's no vacancies so I was kind of pushed out the door told to come back from 8:30 to 9 but I'm all the way in Clearwater and big lake and it's hard to get back and forth when it cost gas money to drive up there every morning and check in so I'm going to try again but we'll see what happens

For a homeless shelter it's actually pretty decent. The case workers and the staff are very friendly and helpful. But it's a homeless shelter so you have to be careful. They also have a food bank and community lunch for people in need. They do way more than place of hope ever will.
