Erica did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower yesterday. I had never been to Mantra Salon before and I was so impressed by Erica and the salon! She is amazing at doing hair and makeup, I received so many compliments and felt so beautiful. The pricing was reasonable as well and I felt very accommodated when it came to scheduling the appointment in the first place. There were lots of good vibes at the salon and I would not question going back there. Thanks so much Erica!!!

I went in for a facial, arrived 5 minutes early. I waited 10 minutes (so 5 minutes into appointment time). I was given at least 5 minutes to take my shirt off and get on table. I had added a treatment on at additional cost, assumed this should/would also add to the length of the facial. I was left for 10-15 minutes while my mask was drying. Seemed like from my experience other places this would have been a good time to massage arms, shoulders, fingers, etc. A warm towel, cleanup, spritz and I was getting dressed by 12:55 so I’d be gone by top of the hour. Total hands on time I’d say was about 20-25 minutes top and it was $120 with tip. (The young lady was very nice, I do need to say, so it pains me to give a poor review.) And the place is so noisy with laughing and business from the salon and retail area, the space feels like a storage room, with some random day beds/upholstered benches in the room. I love the old buildings but this is not a functional space for relaxation. Just not the vibe I was hoping for my pampering.

The receptionist was awful and it was an overall a bad experience for me and my bridal party. They were rude and snarky. Not worth, seriously never go here. Ignore the good reviews, they're lies. Read all of the bad ones and you'll see what I mean.

I went here for my big wedding day, I woke up all happy and I left here in literal tears. When the front desk lady assigned me someone to do my hair that has NEVER DONE HAIR!! Not to mention again, on my wedding day. I had a group of 4 ladies total and they all had their hair and makeup done before my hair was even started. The guy had no idea how to curl hair he didn't use a single product for it to stay. Why would you give me someone to do my hair, that doesn't know how to do hair..on my wedding day!? Because of this I was there for 4 hours instead if 2 like planned. I was late to my own wedding and it was all downhill from there. I seriously blame them for ruining my wedding day because I missed those 2 hours I needed! And to top it all off they made me pay full price and gave me a gift card as if that would fix my big day that you just ruined. A gift card? As if im ever coming back. I'm not getting married again so you really destroyed me.

Would not recommend unless you want to be late to your own wedding or have a mental breakdown at the terrible coordination of the staff. Crazy how you can get a job and not know how to do it. Find somewhere better.

Allow me to begin with my first-ever salon experience at Mantra. I had never cut my hair before, so I was prepared for anything. After being a couple of hours into the process, I discovered that Monica was the owner of the salon. She had recently caught up on her workload and decided to take on a few, or maybe just one, new client - that happened to be me!The process ended up taking much longer than I initially expected, around 6 hours, but I later learned that this was quite normal after some quick Google research on hair transformations. Monica patiently answered all my questions about the colors I wanted and even discussed the option of using a hair diffuser.Monica's interactions with her staff were truly remarkable. Every time a customer entered the salon, they were warmly greeted, and I was constantly checked on to ensure I had everything I needed. Brandon, one of the staff members, even took the time to explain some nail-related matters to me.As I left the salon, my fiancé jokingly asked if I was going through a midlife crisis, likely due to the significant change in my appearance. My hair didn't turn out as expected, and I was at a loss on how to proceed. I reached out on Facebook, and I received an immediate response from Monica. She suggested I come in to discuss my concerns.A bit embarrassed, I visited the next day to explain that the experience had been a bit overwhelming for me. To my surprise, Monica not only talked to me about her work as a hair stylist but also about her involvement in the community and St. Cloud city commerce. She is passionate about making downtown St. Cloud a safer and more family-friendly place to visit. How can you not fall in love with that! It takes a village people and I just met one of the leaders! Her intelligence and dedication are evident in her interactions with her staff, and it's clear that she's a valued member of the community.During my visit, I even had the chance to meet the director of the Chamber of Commerce, who spoke highly of Monica's contributions. However, my only complaint is that Monica refused to reimburse the cost of changing my hair color to its current state, which I've grown to absolutely love. It's truly made a difference in how I feel.

I’ve had multiple bad experiences with this salon. Terrible customer service. They do not care about how anything turns out. Snotty staff. Some of the responses I’ve read to prior poor reviews definitely solidify the immaturity of the staff AND owner here (specifically the review from Cassi Jaeger, who should have gotten their hair fixed and not been charged from the sounds of it). I will never return personally.Update 2023: Went for a facial, same bad experience. I got the certificate for a discount so decided to give them another shot. The facial was boring and typically I’ve gotten a massage on my décolletage while the face mask cures, but this place just gives you 20 min of awkward (somewhat) silence. You could hear the rest of the staff and feel the tension in the air because you could hear the rest of the staff… save your money.

Love this place! Erica Jacobs did an amazing job on my wash and style while I was traveling through to Minneapolis headed to a wedding. Such great service from everyone, even though they knew I couldn't be a returning customer. Erica went the extra mile!

I hadn't been to a salon in years, and was a little nervous. Olivia was so sweet and encouraged me to go for the side shave split dye I had been on the fence about. It came out so amazing, and I am so grateful I had such a warm and competent stylist to fix my hair! She wasn't pushy about making small talk like some people can be, it was very chill and mellow there. But she was fun to talk to! She helped with color correcting/ bleaching pieces of black I had in my hair, and redyed my vibrant blue in a super fun split dye. I have gotten so many compliments already and can not recommend them enough for fun punky styles. If you're on the fence, or made a hair mistake like I did, they can help! Unfortunately I was not able to tip as much as I wanted, because this salon visit was a gift, but I will be back for touch ups and hopefully can make it right then!! Don't forget to tip your stylists :)
