i take my cat here to get vaccinations for rabies, they were very sweet to him but they wanted nearly 300$ for a whole body shave. they're great to the animals but they charge WAY too much.

They were able to treat my parakeets eye. I couldn't find another vet that would see her. I would definitely recommend them!

Charged me 90 dollars just to look at my iguana and weigh him and tell me stuff I already knew. Also killed one of my bearded dragons a couple years ago by taking to much blood from him with no fluids when he was already very sick and dehydrated. DO NOT take your reptiles here unless you wanna plan a funeral. Justice for Beanie❤️

5 star all the way. The best veterinary hospital and team I have ever had for my pets. I think I started using Companions Animal Hospital 2004 or 2005 and will not go to any other veterinarian.

I honestly do not know how even to begin this. We are new to the area, my spouse and I. Both times we’ve used companions, we spent moretime here, losing our money, and getting nowhere before being sent somewhere else for help. The first time, we lost our bird. We spent $700 for a loss, and a long drive to the cities because they were incapable of helping, but fully capable of taking our money with no solution. The second time was today. It cost us 1500$, and a full day our sweet cat spent here to be told that we had to go somewhere else. They did X-rays, attempted a catheter (lady says “I never have not been able to get that in in my 48 years”) and gave him meds, quoted us 2400 for a surgery they didn’t end up doing because end of day was nearing, no doubt, and now my husband is sitting at yet another one of their referrals. Don’t go here for emergencies, hope, or that silver lining glimmer. Do expect to spend all your money with no solutions and yet another drive. If I lose this cat, you’ll lose your business.

Took great care of my puppy. Kind of spendy. Had to decline most of the services they offered. Although, my puppy was better in the following days. :)

This place will charge you for just about anything. When we called to set up an appointment for our kittens after adopting them from the humane society, they told us that the exam would be free of charge as that is a standard for any pet adopted from the humane society, but then when they told me the soonest I could get in since they were booked out for a couple of months would be if I dropped them off in the morning then pick them up later that day. After scheduling what I thought was similar to an appointment, they confirmed we would not have to pay for the exam for both kittens, but then the day of was charged a large “ER fee” for dropping them off for the day. Then, although we couldn’t be scheduled for an “actual appointment” for months, they were able to schedule us out just fine for each shot/recommended check in two to three weeks spread apart for the next couple of months, which the multiple check ins seemed unnecessary. Additionally, anytime we tried to decline a shot/service, the vet techs would give dirty looks and provide snarky remarks, even though we have other cats and many things they tried to offer, we have never heard of from previous vets. I’d recommend Granite City or Advanced Pet Care for your pets as they will not only have more affordable prices but also recommend things they need rather than “recommend” multiple, pricy tests/services that aren’t necessary.

Step one is getting care for your pet. There is a bit of a process to receiving care a deposit of $60.00 is due upfront prior to your appointment. There are a few online forms to streamline this process, including fee payment. I appreciate that as a pet owner. I'm grateful for expedited care as my pets primary vet is unavailable for two weeks and she can't wait. I'm thrilled to have her seen and hope she gets her glands expressed and her vagine seen due to discomfort and discharge. Dragon booty, has consequences and this is why you get expression regularly.

While they were able to get my cat in to be seen throughout the day between appts as an emergency for bloody urine, the total bill was 670$ in the end. They never gave a definitive answer what was wrong with him, and sent him home with an asinine amount of pain meds that made him more constipated than before. Extreme emphasis was made to bring him back in a few days or if there was no improvement. Brought him to a different vet 3 days later who explained they way overcharged me and didn't give me anything to treat what is most likely going to be a lifelong issue with crystals in urine so basically were going to keep him sick and me in the dark to keep me coming in and bleeding money. Grandmother apparently had the same issues for years before she wised up and found a different vet as well. Wish I'd known about her experience before going there

Very happy thus far with all of their care. They do a good job of education through the process
