I have been driving since 2012, I am a veteran driver and owner operator. I would highly NOT recommend driving/leasing to this company. Not just bad DM (driver mangers) but terrible drivers are here. I sought resolution again and again yet got none.

So they seriously deleted my post about the wrongful shady termination they did... nice. Fair warning the owner must likely doesn't know what goes on between fleet managers and drivers. If they fire you your paycheck won't come till 45 days after at least on lease side. Plenty of time for them to screw with the truck or anything and keep your money. They give last second warnings on everything if your doing your job going to a pickup or delivery it might be changed when you get there. As a lease drive I was busting my butt to do loads you know what I made for 3 weeks... $360 possibly $380. A McDonald's manager makes more then I did as lease with this carrier. If you honestly want a good carrier Combined Transport is the best I've had. My mother went to the er they got a driver to take my load and got me a plane ticket home. I never had issues with getting home with any carrier but ATS. Here's an example of a driver failure with this company that customer has no issues with the Monday delivery I called them

Before I write this review I must state I don’t think there are any bad companies out there. I feel there are three parts to a company and being a new hire. First find the company. Learn their system. apply yourself their system. That’s how you find a fit(my philosophy).
For starters if you’re looking for a lease company (in my opinion) there are other options! If you do decide to lease with this company beware of the senior dispatchers primarily Jamie Powel. For me he was the worst I’ve ever encountered. I felt when time got tough he had a select few that he would run well while he strategically minimize others ultimately forcing them to resign. The other thing I noticed about Jamie is over the phone he was very nonchalant about my needs as a lease driver. My best moments at ATS is when Jamie Powell was on vacation, Doctors visits or taking PTO. Obviously you can tell by now that my biggest gripe with ATS was my driver manager Jamie Powell! I pleaded with his boss countless times to swap me time and time again. They only gave me the spin! I started working for ATS 12/01/2022 and fortunately I was able to get a 2022 Pete (loved that truck) and I took very good care of it. I leave the company with over $7000 in my maintenance fund and they took every dime from me! I’ve had many inspections done on that truck inside and outside of the company and everyone thanked me for maintaining the equipment so well, but when I resigned they created a laundry list of things that needed attention on the truck! Greedy company is all I can say! I don’t think it’s wise to lease with ATS and if you do…….. just go company try that first.

We hired ATS to help us get a shipment of goods across the US-Canada border. Because of ATS's lack of experience and quality customer service, our shipment was delayed by over 2 weeks. Our shipment only made it across the border after we hired a different trucking service to assist us in our shipment. These delays endangered our shipment's arrival being on time for our customer, which would have cost us $160,000, putting significant hardship on my ability to pay my staff and hurting the children and teachers we serve.
If anyone is considering using ATS for their shipment, I highly recommend using a different service. When we switched to a different trucking company, our experience instantly became easy and smooth. In particular, avoid working with Alicia or Ben from the sales department.
In case it's helpful to anyone planning to use ATS, here were some of the challenges we faced in detail:
1) Our ATS customer service agent didn't know how payments were supposed to be processed, leading to us losing a day of shipping waiting around for a truck that never came because they hadn't been paid.
2) Our ATS agent asked us vital information about our shipment (e.g. the destination of the shipment, the value of our shipment, etc.) after our shipment had already been picked up. We had already told her all of this information, but it became apparent that she hadn't kept a record of the information we shared with her via email.
3) Our ATS agent didn't know how customs worked. We also didn't know as this was our first time shipping internationally. Our ATS agent told us that ATS would take care of all of the paperwork and assured us that everything had been taken care of for an international shipment. It was only after a truck had picked up our shipment that she asked us vital information about our customs broker. ATS needed to return our shipment until we could find an adequate customs broker (something that could have been done weeks before if we had been informed properly), which resulted in another 2 weeks of delays. ATS then tried to charge us $700 in trucker overtime fees despite this delay being caused by ATS's inaccurate information they shared with us.
4) Our ATS agent and others from ATS's international department did not know what a PAPS number was, how to generate PAPS documents for the truck driver, or what the term "port of entry" meant. It was only after her supervisor got involved that we received accurate international shipping information.
5) When we were finally ready to schedule a driver for our shipment, ATS was unable to find an adequate driver after spending two days looking for one. After this delay, we took it upon ourselves to find a driver, which we did after a single phone call. We were able to schedule a pickup that same day, which makes me believe that ATS was not making a good faith effort to find a driver.
6) After switching to a different trucking service, we asked ATS for a refund for the work they did not perform. We were promised a refund by ATS's Sales Team Manager but hadn't received one after two weeks of being told that ATS was working on it. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and the next day we were issued a refund. Again, I do not believe that ATS was making a good faith effort to make the situation right.
I wouldn't normally write a review this long, but this was one of the worst experiences we've had working with another company, and I think it's important that others are aware of what their experience could be like working with ATS. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience that could have seriously jeopardized our shipment and our company.

Had ATS haul a load for us and my trailer ended up abandoned 30 miles north of where the delivery was supposed to be. Won’t be using them again.

ATS, promises the world but does not support their team. Especially when issues arise on the client side. They cannot handle "production show freight"! Worst of all their turnover is so bad in the office, I get calls from new people weekly. Our company refuses to ever work with them again. They messed up loads so bad. ATS has been blacklisted from our company.... They still call relentlessly and can't understand the word of leave me alone! I would think twice about trying ATS out.

Well what can I say Run fast and never look back after we did all their hoops we were approved we were call may 1 ,2024 and told you are ready to go so we quit our current employer who wasn’t much better and the recruiter named Craig said at ATS said he was sending over a email with the rental at enterprise and the hotel info so I said great hung up the phone 30 minutes go by and I received another phone call from Craig he said I put you on the schedule for orientation on May 6 2024 and he said operations told him they could not run us like they would like so sorry can’t hirer you at this time and I said to him we just quit our job and all he could say is I am so sorry but I am not worried god will take vengeance on him and this company how these companies can do things like this to truck drivers who do all the hard work and sacrifice so much and these lying recruiters and companies hurt good honest people just trying to work and get by . SHAME ON YOU ATS

Their driver's are very unprofessional period. They think they could do whatever they want.
Today at the TA in Baltimore Maryland. Their driver pulling an oversized load blocked the exit and got very aggressive and tired backing into my truck as I tired to exit. Gave me the one finger wave. So who was in the wrong your driver. But will you all do anything no.
When I called in your safety department basically told me to get lost.
I wished your would have hit my truck because I would have him locked up jail and sued you people.
This is not the first run in with one of your aggressive drivers.
You people had better get a handle your driver's or you people will paying out big money for your aggressive drivers. Travis Maddox

I'm a new driver here. I came here looking for a fresh start as a company flatbed driver progressing towards the HH division. So far, this has been the best on boarding and earliest driving experience I've ever had! I look forward to growing here!

I worked for ATS Heavy Haul. I’m 64 yrs old and have been driving for 34 years. They’ll tell you at the very first that this job is not for everyone. It’s not! If you do what you’re supposed to do and take care of business, it’s probably one of the best trucking jobs out there. I’ve never have been treated with such respect by any company as ATS. My manager, Dustin Serreyn, pretty much became a good friend. I still learn at my age. He always had the answers whenever I would call him with questions. As far as the equipment ? I never had a problem that either I or the company couldn’t take care of. My APU went out last winter. They put me up in a hotel, until it could be fixed. They genuinely seem to care about the welfare of their drivers. Working for this company is one bridge you wouldn’t want to burn.
