Everyone there treated me with respect and kindness. It was a wonderful experience, the nurse, the receptionist, everybody was so nice at a time when I was very upset. My little dog Peanut was in a lot of pain and that was a very big concern for everyone there. Peanut fell in love with Dr. Spiczka and stuck to her like glue! That’s when I knew everything was going to be OK. I give my heartfelt thanks to all who were there that night ❤️!

While I understand that vets and their staffs deal with many difficult cases each day and that they cannot express the same level of emotions that the clients experience the level of compassion one of the staff members shown towards us was absolutely unacceptable and was down right cold and robotic. We had to bring our 13 year old Maltese in for emergency care. It became clear that he sadly needed to be euthanized. From the very beginning this employee didn't show my wife any empathy or compassion. She read off information quickly and didn't really care. We were just another patient.... She treated us like we were in there for a routine visit.Once I arrived to say goodbye I experienced this treatment myself. She read documents to us like a robot with zero emotion and demanded we pay before she would bring us our dog who was going to be put down as if that was the most important thing at that moment.I confronted her privately after this and received immediate attitude and was told 'we are busy and do this all day, we aren't going to cry with you'. I never once said that nor would I ever expect that. What I do except is that the pet parents are shown the proper level of respect and understanding given what is occurring. That is part of their job!!! If you can't do that go find another job where basic compassion isn't a requirement.I am sicken that my wife experienced this on one of the worse days of her life.Do NOT go here if at all possible!

I brought my distressed cat here over the weekend because our regular vet was full. He was terrified and in pain with heart trouble. They took him and made me sit in my car to wait for an hour while they examined him (with an windchill warning of -25) even though there was one person in the waiting room and the exam rooms were open. My cat died less than 24 hours later and I am devastated that I let them do that to him. He was with strangers and scared. They also wanted to charge me $1200 for a “work up” my vet does for $300. On top of the emergency fee of $275 it’s too much. He was stable after a while and they said he should do fine over night and we made an appointment with our vet and took him home but he passed on the way to our vet in the morning. If it’s an emergency you might not have a choice but I would not recommend it if it can be avoided.

I brought my 9 year old cat (Bear)in after her breathing became labored - She had been on medication from our regular vet for vomiting. While enroute to Blue Pearl she became less responsive. Upon arrival at Pearl my cat was brought in the back immediately. The vet came out within a couple of minutes and stated that Bear was unresponsive and had a weak slow heart rate. The vet asked if I would like to be in a room alone with Bear as all signs were pointing to Bear passing very soon. Unfortunately Bear did pass within a minute or two while I was with her. The staff that I encountered there was fast professional and very sympathetic with my situation. I thank those that provided so much care and attention to Bear. It is deeply appreciated

Blue Pearl is excellent!!! There was a steady stream of people coming and going with their pets, and they got our dog in right away and tested her and even though we had to wait a while for results, it is more than expected when you come in at the last minute and the clinic is extremely busy. I thought they handled the shear volume of animals with amazing speed and Nala received wonderful care.

I was so thankful when I drove by on a recent Sunday morning about 7:15 am on my way with my dog to a Minneapolis urgent pet care, to find this location was open at 8 am. The listing online said closed open on Monday at 12 pm. I drove by just to check, I was delighted! Everyone was caring, professional and were a great team! I felt everyone was there to provide my dog and I with great service, they enjoyed their work. I look forward to the time when the service for urgent pet care after hours and weekends is available consistently. Thank you for your care of my pet!

My cat needed to be seen by a vet on two successive weekend days for ongoing renal issues and subsequent IV fluid therapy treatments. On both visits my wait time was less than 5 minutes, the reception area staff and vet technicians were respectful and polite, and doctor Beech was exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to attentively listen to my story and my cats history, provided the utmost compassionate care, and also freely offered his expertise and guidance with respect to recommendations for further care. As well, he provided very helpful information about prescription food selection to better manage my cats condition, and also gave me several complimentary samples, so my cat can test-taste them to determine which brands and flavors to purchase. Overall, my cat and I were treated with the utmost courtesy and respect on both visits. Hats off to everyone at BluePearl for providing service excellence! For above services I assigned a 5-star rating. The definitely went above and beyond!Update to the above:Earlier this week I gave this business a 5 star rating, and that still stands for the pair of visits I made at that time, as reflected above. Subsequent to those visits, and after a trip to my regular vet, all of which were very positive experiences and all the vets caring and helpful, I decided to euthanize my cat solely based on a piece of (incorrect) information I received late that night from a 3rd party who was not a medical professional. Naturally I got very emotional after that, so I called BluePearl at 11:15pm to inquire about an appointment yet that night, and was bluntly told that they could accommodate, but to "hurry up", as they are only open until midnight. When I got there I was coldly asked by the receptionist to hand them my cat, also asked if I wanted to be present or not, and told to either wait in the lobby or my car outside. When they called me into the operating room for the procedure, there was no dialog other than the vet and I exchanging "hello" to each other, which took less than 5 seconds. It was a different vet than I had the previous two days. I was about to endure a very emotional moment watching my cat pass away, I was not thinking straight and naturally in a state of grief. The procedure was started and seemed totally methodical and robotic. There was no dialog whatsoever. Even a small reassurance by the vet would have been a comforting gesture. I was left with a cold, empty, alone feeling.Sadly the information I received from the 3rd party was incorrect. If the BluePearl vet had asked me one simple question before performing the procedure: "is there a reason why you have elected to euthanize" or "is the pet sick?", the outcome would have been different, as the vet would have easily told me that the 3rd party information I had been provided was false. I understood that closing time was midnight, and everyone wanted to go home, but I felt as if I was rushed in and out as quickly as possible. In short, yes, I got exactly the service I asked for. They did euthanize my pet as I requested.I would recommend to BluePearl that in the interest of veterinary ethics, business professionalism, moral values, and fairness to the pet and its owner, your vets should have a brief dialog with the customer prior to performing such a procedure, in an effort to confirm the pet owner's belief and reasoning that they are about to do the correct thing, as at that time they are under extreme stress and may not be thinking clearly. To those who are considering euthanasia, I would strongly recommend some essentials: do not make the decision to euthanize while under stress, don't make it alone, or under a time constraint/deadline, speak to a vet first to confirm your desire, and don't decide based on a hypothetical future possible perceived outcome or event.I am hopeful that the above information may save someone's pet from a very premature death, and also spare the owner the associated grief, especially after learning that such a pro

My cat suddenly lost use of one of his back legs and was very upset. I immediately drove to BluePearl and called to get my boy in.Right from the first person I had contact with on the phone, I felt completely confident that I had brought my boy to the right place.I ended up having to put him down that night and they were all so wonderful, making me feel not so alone while having to make a really hard decision. This was a little over a week ago.Today we got a condolence card in the mail along with a few copies of paw prints. Thanks so much to the vet, techs, and office staff that we encountered that night. Your kindness then and again now means so much.

Got there at 7:30pm on 8.20.23, was told they could not see my dog who was bleeding ALOT from his nose. Was told they were seeing their last patient until they close at 8pm.. Was told to drive to the cities..I was speechless and my dog was bleeding on there sidewalk..I got the bleeding under control and then drove home..I was up all night with him. I called my vet first this the next morning and got him in to be seen..He was there all day to be observed. I was told he was poisoned and I followed their recommendations..it has been. Long road to recovery..DON'T GO TO THE ER VET..They are not compassionate and don't care about a bleeding senior dog....

If I didn't know any better I would be convinced a bunch of 14 year old girls work here. During our visit, once our pet was taken to the back, all we heard were a bunch of girls giggling from the back room. Seriously!? I would assume people who come here are in an emotional state. They come here for EMERGENCIES. Great that everyone is in a "good mood" at work but when you have pet owners sobbing in one room and all they can hear is little girls laughter and jokes... real real comforting. Go to the cities. We had much kinder and actual professional interactions down there. After having went to a vet, then another for a second opinion, then coming here and ultimately ending up at the pet hospital in the cities... this place had the WORST interactions with us. Beyond unprofessional. I see we are not the first to experience the ungodly laughter and inappropriateness. Never, ever again.

Took our kitten in after he had been attacked by a dog there was absolutely no urgency to them getting him checked in and seen. After he passed they offered us CPR as an option warning us it most likely wouldn’t work and was expensive. We decided we still wanted to do CPR anyways even if it was useless. As the tech was going back to work on him before the door even shut I could hear her loudly complain about having to do CPR “even though I told them it wouldn’t work.” At what point does trying to saving an animals life become such a hinderance to someone? This place shows absolutely no compassion or care for animals. I don’t understand how anyone can work with animals and not care when their lives are on the line. Absolutely do not go here.

Absolutely worst ER clinic/staff ever. If they actually cared about animals they wouldn't be charging over 200.00 to just walk in the door. It's better than it used to be ($900.) but the attitude of the staff is pathetic. Clearly the only reason they showed up was for money. Whoever came up with this scam had it all planned out...charge a arm and a leg because we'll pay it to save our fur babies.
