This is just upon a initial consultation with our near 1yo AmStaff:They were kind, forthcoming with all information. They were direct without any indignation towards us or our pet. They also kept themselves extremely professional throughout the roughly 15min we were there going over options and brief assessments. They have payment options, from what it seems, and I could not see us going elsewhere to help give our pup the best to help him become a better best friend!

I did the 3 days of board and train and then followed with 3 months of group class highly recommend! It has been about 10 months since have been to sit means sit group class...and I am still very consistent with my training.I just wanted to say Ryan and Pat are amazing! Very patient while teaching me how to train Copper...I tend to be very passive...and didn't follow through on my commands. :)I am happy to say that with their training I am so confident with Copper...even off leash. He focuses on me and follows my cues and commands. This training has given him and I so much more freedom!! I never envisioned doing anything off leash. I look forward to taking him new places and I am so proud of how well he behaves.

Ryan and Pat were absolute angels. My dog, Riot, was a rescue and came to me with some bad manners. We knew he needed dog training and were determined to get him the best dog trainers Minneapolis had to offer. After interviewing a few options, Sit Means Sit impressed us the most!Through private lessons & group training, Ryan helped us eliminate his counter surfing, incessant barking and jumping on guests. Riot even goes to his cot now the moment he hears a doorbell! He also helped Riot walk well on a leash and stop being reactive to triggers like runners and people on bikes. Riot is more comfortable in his crate and just seems like a happier dog all around since working with Ryan. I cannot thank Sit Means Sit enough!

I adopted my foster and she was pretty dog reactive. I found sit means sit and Pat and Ryan did an amazing job with Mella and I had my hesitations but I can say after 3 months of group class I can now walk Mella past other dogs barking and all she does is cry because she wants to play. No barking or lunging!

Waste of time ,Was invited to bring my gsd in for an evaluation and training options,No one evaluated my dog she just tried to sell me expensive training packages. My dog had been through obedience already and I wanted to continue in a group setting, but you have to buy the 1500- 2000 grand packages . I felt like I was at a used car lot .

They did a really great job with my dog Sailor. Prior to his his training program there, he had a bit of an aggression issue, but since then I have seen a huge difference. He really listens now and is super sweet. I totally recommend this place for people who need dog training services!

I have a very lovable overreactive boxer. Thanks to the training with Ryan and Pat he is 80% better.. They are very patient and willing to use unorthodox ways of training.

I am torn about this place. The trainers are very good and helpful. They are insightful and the effective training is based on e-collar usage. We have a dog mixed with several tough breeds. It is hard getting him to focus and although I hate to inflict the shock it seemed the best choice. Started out going to group class at which was excellent for the socialization. These were included in training package. The problem is the class size got maxed out and we ended up just quitting. I don't feel like we got our money's worth. It also started bothering me the amount of what I felt was overuse of shocking some types of dogs that didn't need that as part of their training. Yes the owners and dogs are both being trained. Some of the dogs just seemed not happy. I grew up with and around a lots of dogs. Some dogs just don't need to be shocked to be trained and there are alternatives for them.

Sit Means Sit has transformed a high-spirited nine-month-old Standard Poodle into a 10-month-old delightful pup. Wednesday was showing improvement in just one week. After a month she is heeling on a loose leash, she comes when called and the chewing is under control. She likes her patient and experienced instructors, is learning at her own pace and loves going to class. Highly recommend, with NO reservations.
