ZERO STARS.We were misled about the transit time.We expected everything to arrive at our new place in 7 to 10 days. That was not the case. It was not 7 to 10 days, it was 8 to 10 Business Days. Also, the first business day, Friday, did not count!Moreover, "transit" only meant from one warhorse to another. After that we had to wait for the "Redelivery" from the destination warehouse. That schedule could not have been know by the salesperson in advance so he should never had suggested an overall timeframe.

Friends of mine contacted this company to save themselves some time and money on their move to Arkansas, was dropped off July 15 at their home in Minnesota, picked up two days later. They were told 8- 10 business days and it would be delivered to them in Arkansas. They left Minnesota on the 25. We talked that week expecting them to have their stuff or at least they would have gotten a call or some form of communication on arrival date. NOTHING. So me being me took a week off work to go help them unpack and get settled in their new home, drove down. Got here they got a date of delivery of 8-25 at the earliest. Now this was July 29 or 30. They asked for anything they could do to get it done quicker we’re told they could rent a u haul and pick up their stuff at the storage unit 2+ hrs away . So that’s what we did . Called to make sure that the storage center knew were coming and confirmed address. Got to the storage center and guess what ….. UNIT STILL IS IN MINNEAPOLIS, 8-1 . $3k+ to this company for there service, $400+ u haul, my time his time and his son’s time plus fuel for a two plus hour drive one way . How can a business operate in good faith this way?

Bogus company. Gave dimensions over the phone and it showed up considerably smaller. Ok… We were told it would be moved to a storage facility near the city we needed it. Would need to call and give 24 hours to have it delivered to our new home. We called and they told us it wouldn’t be delivered for ANOTHER MONTH. Really?! So we decided to rent a Uhaul to go to the storage facility to unpack the zippy shell into the truck. We get there to find out our stuff IS STILL IN A DIFFERENT STATE. You failed to mention this when we told you on the phone we were coming to pick up our belongings? Do NOT use this company unless you want to be without your entire home for a month plus.

My parents used this company to conveniently move cross country. Convenience was definitely not what this has been. First off, the "trailer" was indeed not a trailer, but a metal cage which did not meet up with the dimensions they were orignally told. They had their container picked up from their home on the 18th. They were told 8-10 business days is when their items would be delivered.They got to their destination and the container was still not there. It was the 30th that they arrived. Seems to me like that's more than 10 business days??? When they called they were told it would be delivered the 25 of August. That's more than a month after it was picked up! My parents then asked if they could drive 4 hours away to the storage that they were told it was at. My dad, brother and Uncle drove all the way there to find out, the container was still in the state they had just moved from. Now, money, gas and valuable time has been wasted because of this joke of a company. I highly recommend you DO NOT US THIS COMPANY!!! ALL OF THE GOOD REVIEWS HAVE TO BE SET UP BY EMPLOYEES AND FAMILY OF THIS COMPANY. DO NOT TRUST THEM. I will be reporting to the BBB.

My zippy shell was supposed to be stored in WI until I needed it, but it was actually stored in a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul. That was fine. I picked up all my belongings in APRIL 2021!! Now in FEBRUARY 2022 they are charging my debit card for monthly fees stating we had left items in the container. We DID NOT leave anything in the unlocked container when we evacuated our container in their storage lot. We have not heard anything from them in almost a year, and NOW they are trying to say we owe them 10 months of storage. I would NEVER use them again, and my bank is being informed of these fraudulent charges this company is withdrawing from my debit card.IF this company stated we left something in the container, why did it take so long to discover...hmmm... did they forget they rented it out to another person, or did someone else throw their trash in our container? Inquiring minds want to know...

Very shady billing processes. Waiting 10 months to try to get me to pay for a container I emptied in their lot in APRIL 2021. They state there were items left, but they were not mine. Started taking monthly rental fees multiple times a day without informing me, or obtaining my consent. Do NOT use this service

I had the worst experience with Zippy Shell. We were told the transit time for our long distance move would be 5-7 business days, but could take up to 8-10 business days, so we planned for that, but unfortunately it was much longer. Every step of the way, the customer service was poor. Our stuff was "in transit" for an extended period of time. Every time I called to get a status update it was always the same, it's in transit it will be there within the 8-10 business days. Well, it wasn't, and no one could tell me where it was as because there was no tracking number associated with the shell. Anytime you ship something, you get a tracking number. But, when you ship all of your belongings there is no way to track it, which is unbelievable. Our stuff arrived 8 days after the calculated 10 business days days from the pick up. Highly inconvenient for a family with a toddler and a woman pregnant with twins. When I spoke to Nathan (the manager of customer service) about our experience, I was hoping he would provide better customer service than the rest of the team and compensate us fairly. However, he offered to reimburse me $50. Quite frankly, $50 was a joke. He kept telling me, our things were only one business day late. When I heard this, I truly thought he was looking at the wrong account. Our shell was picked up at 8:30 AM Monday 7/12, 10 business days later would have been 7/23, we received our stuff on 7/31. How could that be one business day late? He must be looking at the wrong account. Nope, there was all kinds of "unwritten rules" to skew the numbers so it seemed like it was one business day late. Again, we got our stuff on 7/31 after a 7/12 pick up, that doesn't seem like one business day late to me. I continued to voice my frustrations to Nathan, the whole experience had been poor, but I truly wanted to say in the end they took care of us. Well, they didn't. Nathan said he could compensate $125, but no more than that. If I add up all the meals we had to eat out, the purchase of random house hold items we needed for the family, as well as the air mattresses we purchased and used as beds, it would be much more than $125. This compensation certainly doesn't cover the headaches and frustration that this entire process caused by this company not living up to their promise and the horrible customer service throughout the whole process. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!

Terrible customer service. Delivery days late. Charged my credit card a week BEFORE they delivered my furniture. They contracted the work out to Pack Rat and the two companies apparently don’t communicate. Customer Service said a manager would call me - twice. Never happened. They asked I email them. They never replied. They sent one email with a delivery date and NO SHOWED me. They even charged an extra $180 “storing” my container when it was in transport.

Never use this company! I recently moved cross country and I have now been waiting two weeks for my storage unit to be delivered. They have missed three scheduled delivery dates and no one can tell me where my unit is. Every time a call they say a supervisor will call me back and not once have I received a call back. I spent over $4,000 and have called three times a day with no one who has been able to help me! I have spent over 6 hours on hold! Absolute horrendous customer service! Steer very clear.

Absolutely horrible. We reserved a Zippy Shell on 6/6/20, to be delivered to our house in St. Paul between 8 AM and noon on 6/26/20. No call, no show. The company was only too happy to charge half of the reservation fee on 6/25. After literally six hours on hold and talking to multiple customer service reps, I was finally informed at 6:45 PM on Friday afternoon that Zippy Shell does not provide long-distance moving shells in Maplewood, and that their sister company could not get us an alternate solution before July 8th. We have to be out of our current house by June 30. So, by fraudulently taking my deposit and causing me to have to reserve an alternate service at the last possible minute, Zippy Shell ruined our entire move, stole our money, and cost us an extra four days and $2975. DO NOT USE.

Would not recommend. Overpriced and uncoordinated. Got charged for everyone sitting around while they waited for the leader to get there and tell them what to do. Will not be using again.

We used Zippy Shell to move from the Bay Area, CA to Minneapolis. Nothing but professional, and awesome prices. Our stuff arrived in Minneapolis, and they called us the day of to make sure we could schedule drop off ASAP. Everything arrived in the condition we packed it, and was clean (I was a little worried about it being in a cage, but they obviously shrink wrapped it like they said they would!). All in all, good experience.
