Hard serve ice cream was a delicious snack in the afternoon. We took our ice cream to the Soudan Mine where they had picnic tables for us to sit and enjoy our treat. Worker at SOS was a tad abrasive(might have got her on a bad day) but in the end served some large bowls of ice cream so it paid off!

Soudan's Only Store is a small family-owned convenience store located in the historic Oliver Mining Company headquarters. Along with gas and a small line of groceries, visitors can enjoy a pizza or hand dipped ice cream at the original soda fountain. Hunting/fishing licenses, ski/bike permits, disposal coupons and MN Lottery tickets are available. SOS also features photos and archives from the early Oliver Mining Clubhouse days.
