We've had very good experiences with Lake Gas Co. When propane fills have been requested, they have been very prompt to fill. Usually filled next day. Fair price, with pricing being usually what everyone else is paying.

Lakes gas has been reliable in keeping my tank filled so there have been no lapses in service for probably the past 17 years. That’s a good record. My only complaint is that their drivers can’t seem to keep their trucks on my driveway, which is totally wide enough to accommodate the width of their trucks. I inevitably end up with huge, deep ruts in the grassy area adjacent to the driveway, especially when the ground is soft. I’d appreciate it if better care was taken to stay off the yard.

I ordered 2 500 gallon tanks and asked that they both be filled full. The tanks both came with 20% which is 100 gallons each. I prepaid at $1.59 a gallon and had both tanks filled to 85% which is 850 gallons and paid $1400. Shorted me $50. Than less than a week later I noticed a propane smell by the tank. I lost/used 20% in 50 degree weather because of a loose fitting on the tank. Also I called 1 day before ordering the tanks for prepay and was quoted $1.59 but when they got delivered they tried charging me an extra 10 cents a gallon. Absolutely will not be using them next year. Worst customer service and dishonest folks.

Can’t say thank you enough to Leon for his customer service and willingness to answer our questions. I had called the office and Leon immediately offered to come take a look for us — he went far above and beyond to make sure we were not having a gas issue in our house.Thank you again, Leon. Twice in last few years the last fill of a pre-buy contract did not fill my tank so they left it partially full. Called in and they came back to fill it at market price. I told them to always fill it in the spring and bill me for any shortfall on my contracted amount. They did it again this spring. I opted to go with another company and Lakes came and picked up their tanks. Never even got a phone call or question as to why I switched supplier. They must not need my business so I am happy to oblige.
