Exceptional says it all about this great find! Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and awesome service from our server, Jessica. My daughter and I each had the braised beef ragu pasta, my son-in-law said the burger he ordered was the best he’d ever had. Hubby loved the Walleye fish with very crispy potatoes. We split an apple crisp with ice cream. Oh my! So delicious. I’d say this is a must try restaurant! We can’t wait to go back!

Impressed by the stunning ambiance! The unique approach of choosing a table and ordering at the counter, then having the food brought to you, adds to the charm. The staff's friendliness, prompt service, and outstanding food make this restaurant a standout. Highly recommend, and I'm eager to visit again.

The burger is so satisfying. Pick this over the steak frites. ? Zero proof drinks are great, as are the cocktails.

We happened upon this place as it was close to where we were getting car repair. We loved it!! Wonderful staff, great atmosphere and the food is so incredible ?. The blueberry hotcakes are like going home to Grammas. The eggs are cooked perfectly. The baked goods including the chocolate chip cookie are so tasty. We loved the layout including getting your own water and coffee and ordering at coffee. And the coffee is so good! It seemed to take pressure off the staff and reduce chaos. Wonderful dining experience. I wish you were in Eau Claire Wisconsin. We'll come back. Thank you!!

Such a great addition to Shoreview. Menu is not your standard fare offering mostly healthy and creative options that are always good. Indoor eating is very noisy — a little better is seated in adjacent small dining room. Very nice outdoor seating. I always look forward to a meal here.Parking: Parking in their lot became more difficult after museum opened and claimed a dozen spaces or so in the lot. Street parking is usually available if lot fills up.

Super cute, trendy space with friendly service and great food. Looks just like the pictures from other reviews. The chicken sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever have. The dining room has tall ceilings and sound carries, so if you prefer a quiet restaurant or get overstimulated easily it may not be your favorite place, but the noise level was okay for me and still good for having conversation, though we went at a non-peak time.

I don't write reviews often. A place has to really appeal to us. This place is one. The atmosphere is so positive and enjoyable we can't help but enjoy our visit. The food is always tasty. They change the menu and offer seasonal options too. The space is open, airy, and relaxing. There is plenty of space between tables. No cram packed tables. It is just a delight to come here.Vegetarian options: Gluten free and vegetarian options available for most items. (Copied from menu)

A place where you're greeted upon entry, seated and given menus, and then you get up and walk to their front counter to place your order and pay for it. If you order a coffee and baked item, you'll take it back to your table with you. If you order an item that must be prepared in the kitchen, it's brought out to your table when it's ready.Arriving on a recent blustery Friday morning, there were plenty of open tables and we were cheerfully greeted when we entered. We were seated and given menus. After considering our menu choices, we went up to the baked treats window & counter to see their offerings and to place our breakfast order.I got a "kouign-amann" (a sweet, croissant-like pastry) to go along with my coffee and an order of scrambled eggs, and my friend ordered their cinnamon-pecan roll to accompany her coffee and scrambled eggs.Their service counter area was clean and bright, and the baked items were nicely displayed. My friend was asked whether she wanted her cinnamon-pecan roll heated up a little. She did, and once we were each handed our respective plates of baked treats and cups of coffee, we then stopped at the self-service island to fill glasses with our choice of 'still' or 'sparkling' water from spigots. There were tall glass carafes available to fill with water and take back to your table. There were also insulated carafes of various "creamers" to add to coffee along with little porcelain pitchers to fill with your creamer of choice and take to your table. Packets of sugar, pairs of salt & pepper shakers, and bottles of hot sauce were also available to bring to your table.I prefer my coffee black, and found it rich and flavorful, with a bit of a 'tang' to it. Later, I tried some half & half in it and that was good, too. The coffee was a perfect accompaniment to my kouign-amann, a french pastry I'd never tried before. It was crispy and tender, with a sweet, caramelized light crunch on its bottom. My friend had a taste and said she liked it even more than her roll (which I had a taste of and enjoyed its cinnamon-y-pecan softness). A short while later, two plates of scrambled eggs arrived, steamy-hot. They were softly-cooked, and absolutely perfect in my opinion. I topped with a light sprinkle of salt & pepper and enjoyed them very much with my pastry and coffee. The music playing was at a low volume (excellent) so it was easy to have a conversation across the table from each other. The large windows and lighting made the place feel bright and cheery. People around us all seemed to be enjoying their time there together.I hope to visit this place again soon, for breakfast, or for any meal!

Went for dinner on a Saturday. Loved the ambience. Hostess and wait staff were patient and attentive and service was dispensed with a smile.Food is overpriced. The appetizer shareables are definitely NOT shareable - the quantities are not commensurate with the prices. Entrees were okay. They charge a 15% Service fee automatically to your bill to distribute amongst the staff. Although not opposed to it in principle, wish we would have known that upfront. We had an excellent server ( Harmony) and would have loved to tip her more than we did, but the default 15% on top of an already inflated bill made that tough.Bottom line : Good place for a quiet, intimate dinner, definitely NOT recommended if you are looking for a memorable culinary experience. And watch your wallet for those prices - especially if you have kids and they are hungry!Vegetarian options: Salads and a couple of chickpea based options are available for vegetarians.
