Better than Hy-Vee but we recently started weighing out our meat and found that they're not taring the package before the meat is added. Bought a 5lb pack of chicken but after we weighted out the chicken, there was just a little over 4lbs of actual meat. Going to see if this happens to us again but super shady.
Unsure if it's against the law but the package was 1lb of the weight and it's not common practice to charge for that... So be sure to weigh your meat to be sure you're not getting ripped off.

The personnel in the deli area are EXTREMELY rude! I've been in the store in the evenings and I have watched some of the employees throwing bowls around, yelling at each other, and not being professional. The department manager thinks that she's the best person in the whole department, but she's not! There has been times when I went to get some stuff, there wasn't any containers for her to put the items in.

Would not have went here but they had an item that is limited at the cub foods near me. Called for availability. Confirmed on phone. Drove there and the deli people said they couldn't find it. Went the next day just to make sure and was able to get it thia time. The lady this time gave it to me. Asked if it just came in or something and she said we had plenty. You got people on the clock who don't wanna work in your deli....

Cub foods in Shakopee has a wide selection and pretty flowers for sale but when you are in the store their floor needs to be resurfaced it's all beat up and looks terrible for the amount of money we pay for grocery they could take the time to fix the floor it's the simple things that matter

I’ve been a longtime shopper here and the quality in the produce department has drastically dropped off. Having to pass on multiple “fresh” fruits and vegetables. Many items already past ripe and may as well be in the garbage. Highly disappointed.

I need a big shout out to "Cody" the manager at Shakopee Cub. Been reading way too many NextDoor posts about key fobs that mysteriously don't work once you turn your car off.
I was literally going to call the police as I was convinced (per Nextdoor) that there is a scanner in the parking lot.
Cody very nicely came outside, got the key and was able to start the car.
Apparently, there is a known frequency issue in certain parts of the parking lot and only with certain vehicles (Jeep). He said he gets this complaint alot and they have no idea where the problem is stemming from. it's only certain brands.
thank you Cody for being so nice and helpful.

If you need something from the customer service desk find another Cub because this location customer service is never open, you have to search around for someone and when you find them they say it's closed because they short staff but you see employees standing around

Every once and while I like to make a Latin dish that requires the skin on a pork roast. This is pretty much the only supermarket in the southwest metro I can get that without having to make a special request.

I have three daughters, and I bring them every (4 out of 5) Saturday to get donuts. Since they were little. Staff know us for this. A few months ago when price for half dozen went up we spent a few weeks checking out other bakeries. We've come back because the quality and value is on point. My issue is...whose eating jelly filled? My kids want sprinkles. Often we get there around 9:30 and sprinkles are gone but we ask for supply in back and it's fine. Today I left the kids at home to get there earlier...8:15. And three dozen jelly filled sprinkle donuts, but not one without jelly. And I feel it's such an inconvenience to them and me to ask for their supply 'in back'. Can we think about the kids and get more sprinkles? And just monitor the donut case display and keep it fuller?
11/18/23 update: At 8:30am the sprinkle selection was very good. Both long john and iced ring. Chocolate and vanilla. Thank you!
12/16/23 update: Arrived at 9am right as they were restocking! Great timing as we needed that rollout cart for sprinkle donuts that had been hit already.
12/23/23 update: At 9:10am...1.5 trays of jelly filled and ONE single iced ring donut with sprinkles. Two points, keep restocking empty trays. And less jelly.

Best grocery store in town. Fair prices unlike others.
