Bought a gmc acadia in August last year. I paid 8700.00 cash. Did not know it had a bad engine. I maintain my cars very well and after my first oil change that I also got a transmission fluid flush I started hearing a slight knock in the engine. I really didn't pay it too much mind. After my second oil change it got louder. Then one day I started it, went to the store and it would not start again. I bought a brand new battery for 150 and that was not the problem. I had to have it towed home. I then had it towed to a shop and they told me the engine was no good. Bas timing chain was just one of the problems. I had to either get new engine or i could fix the timing chain and take my chances with it being something else. They said it would cost me at the least 3 grand. I could not afford that. Unfortunately I bought it as is. This was a beautiful car n the outside and in, under the hood was something else. It's easy for these dealerships to hide small issues until it leaves the lot. I had to junk my car for less than 500. So in short the car lasted 6 months I paid 8700- +300 (tows) + 150 battery -500= 8650 loss fir a car that lasted 6 months. The only advise I can give is to shop around. This was my 5th car that my husband and I have bought from a dealership in the last 4 years and this was the only one that was not good. I still own 3 of them and they are all in great condition. I even had a friend that I helped find a car at a different dealership and hers is running and performing great. ( and she paid cash for her car too. Now with that being said I have to say that I cannot blame them for the fact that the GMC Acadia is known as a bad car to invest in. But if they would have just given me better service and spent some time with helping me find a better car on their lot, I might have been a happy customer and a return customer. I even went home and slept on it. It was clear that they just wanted to make a quick sale. We have spent thousands on cars in the last 4 years. (And I have receipts) But I will be going to one of the other dealerships for my next big investments I would make this place a last resort. Proceed with caution.

The guy stole 1000 dollars cash off the table when I turned my back and has no cameras pointed at desk but could see I counted it out in reflection of window. Has no problem stealing from you and lying straight to your face.

By right, auto has been around for over 30 years in Shakopee. And has always provided great prices.

I purchased a 2009 Honda Civic from here and the salesman said he would help fix a few problems with the car and he kept his word. They sell cars you can trust and which I think are really good for the price. If you are looking for a vehicle, do not buy without looking here.

I bought a Nissan pathfinder from them and it has a bad transmission and they said it was a misfire they fixed. I called them multiple times to see if I could get another vehicle from or something they never returned my calls don’t buy from them really untrustworthy I don’t expect them to pay to fix but at least work with a customer that bought from them I would stay away from them at all cost you might end like me spending all this money like and for them not to even make an effort to work with me or exchange for another vehicle never had issues with other dealers

Very good buying experience, all the cars on the lot are really clean and were very honest and helpful. Will definitely be back in the future!

Advertising vehicles online without listing the issues they have. Including major engine problems. Went to look at a vehicle during posted business hours but no one was working.

I wish I would have found these reviews before buying from Buy Rite Auto, they are thefts. They sold me a 2014 vehicle with a bad motor, 6 months down the road it blew up and I'm left with a vehicle and a $13k debt with no solution in place other than I have cover all expenses moving forward and Buy Rite says they have no obligation to help. Be forewarned, this place sells junk, junk, junk, do not buy from them. They are used car sales sharks who will take your money and tell you to $(*&*@(#&$@ off when things go bad.

Great place to buy a used vehicle! Purchased a 2010 Fusion from them and a few days later a few lights came on, but they stood behind the sale and had the items fixed. Would definitely buy from them again! Cody was great to work with!

buy here if you want a car that breaks down right after buying it. ? edit: i know people who bought cars from here and they were horrible. and honestly, you shouldn’t reply to reviews that way. you talk to them very rudely and disrespectful.

These people are so rude. See their responses? They sell cars to people who can’t afford them, with LOADS of problems. Cars that’s repairs were the equivalent of the car itself. Do not recommend.

Bought a 2015 Chevy Cruz from them about a year and a half ago, first week into driving it and there was an issue with the spark plugs that caused scoring on my cylinders. Apparently the previous owner botched in and they forgot to mention it to me. Add on top of it a leaky radiator and broken key fobs and I was just done. While I appreciate the small amount of help I was given, the fact that I had to replace the engine on that car is just pathetic.

Thanks Ron and the Buy Rite team for helping us with the purchase of our family vehicle. Buying used cars is always a gamble and we appreciate your honesty and the attention you gave us as customers. We will be back!
