My wife and I found this place online and it was not a disappointment! The prices are very fair and the owner was extremely nice to talk to. She also has some wonderful t-shirts/hoodies with artwork on them that her husband created. She even offered us some coffee since our appointment was in the morning. The river was calm and leisurely, perfect for a relaxing day on the water. If you like swimming this is a great river for that. It was our last day in Minnesota and we couldn’t have made a better choice on how to spend it. Just a good, honest, local, and friendly operation!

Wonderful experience, AGAIN!!! This was our 7th year joining friends who have been enjoying Gloegies, Nimrod and the Crow Wing River for over 15 years. The Gloegie family has always made us feel welcome and are so wonderful.They are a small family business, so yes, bring cash or check and don't expect the Holiday Inn amenities. But you will leave with a smile on your face and a heart full of wonderful memories.Thank you, Gloegie Family. See you next August!!!

We just went on a day trip from Mary Brown bridge back to Gloege's and it was a fantastic experience. Try to make your trip during a weekday if you can, we saw only one other canoe during our whole trip. (But they have enough equipment for busy weekends so it probably isn't an issue) It took us 6 hours for the trip, but our kids were constantly out of the Canoe's and Kayaks to swim, so we didn't make much better time than the current. It was the first time my wife and kids have been on a river trip and they all had a great time. The water level was low on July 27th, but it was only a slight problem on a few of the rockier areas. Getting out and pushing the canoe wasn't a big deal. The kayaks seemed to have less of a problem. We will be back in the future, a really great experience.

Used this canoe outfitters several times now. Always a great experience. They have maps and know the river, including about how long it takes to get back to your destination from each drop off point. Definitely will use again.

Great service and friendly people! The fee for a kayak rental is $23 and $19 for any number of people for transportation. They charge for life jackets sometimes, but the guy gave us them for free. And the rental charge is for the whole day! The river was high so we didn't have to deal with a lot of rocks, but that meant that there weren't any sand bars to go swimming. We still have a great time! Will go again next year!
