“The bouncers were rude, condescending and confrontational for no reason. I went there for a friend's birthday bash and left in tears after how poorly I was treated. I was sober and wasn't causing any problems and I felt they were acting like I tried to bring a machine gun into the bar. I used to have a great time there and had fond memories of the past there but I will never go there again. I would rather go into downtown Minneapolis if I decide to go out to a bar. Never again.”
“Great indoor spot for kids to burn off some energy. During our visit most of the kids were younger (less than 10) and it wasn't too crowded. Plenty of activities to keep little ones busy for a couple hours. They do birthday parties or walk-ins.”
“This is a really fun hotel for a staycation. The rooms were clean and well stocked, the staff is friendly and the pool areas were very welcoming.
Between the playground, many pools, basketball courts, volleyball court, arcade games and other things to do, my kids say it’s their “happy place.”
The only negative about our stay was when we played an arcade game and it took $8 without working. However, we called the vendor and were very pleased with their response.”

“It’s hard to put into words how wonderful our experience at NOE was. We had our wedding at the venue this summer, and from the beginning when we first reached out to the venue for a quote, all the way to the end, Rachelle was attentive, responsive and truly cared about our event. She and the team (Danielle, Andrew and staff) helped bring our vision to life the day of. They all went above and beyond with ensuring us and our guests were cool when the summer temps reached an unbearable height. From our ceremony space (the lawn with the pond backdrop) to the reception space, and the log cabin everything was immaculate. Even the trailer bathrooms were great, per our guests. We received great feedback from our guests about this venue.
My husband and I were extremely happy with our experience at Northern Oaks Events and would highly recommend it. And we love the fact that they’re the only venue (that we know of) that organize follow up events for their clients and as a way to stay in touch but also give the couples and their families a nostalgic experience back at the venue.
