I wanted to open up an account on 9/17 around 3:30pm so I could deposit some money orders. I was the only person in the bank and the woman at the front desk acted like I interrupted her personal phone call. She basically talked me out of opening it stating "I wouldn't be able to deposit the money orders for 3,5,7 days" according to her. Rediculous.

I, also, don't know why there are bad reviews. I have gone here since the 1990's too. I've had an account with someone, one for myself and I now have one for my sister's trust fund. I have had excellent care there. I do have 2 other banks I use but this is the one I consider as my main bank. If you let them know what you need they will do their best to help.

I was a loyal customer of Western Bank for more than 20 yrs. A few months ago I opened a business account there, despite their boring and antiquated existence. The bank made several errors to my account and when questioned came up with lame excuses. My account was then flagged for fraud, which made it impossible to conduct the simplest transactions. I literally was accused of wrong doing, and in their words, "funny business". In short, I closed all accounts. The management at the St. Paul branch are not loyal to there community patrons and the bank didn't show any concern about losing a long time account holder.

We were customers of Western Bank for over 15 years. I tolerated their lack of customer service and spare old school services since they are local and small. I recently closed my account and moved to a 21st century bank where I could actually utilize modern technology like e-deposits. When I closed my accounts, no one asked me why I was leaving nor tried to get me to stay. When I needed access to my e-statements I was told it would be $3.50 per statement. No thanks! So much for friendly small banking. Would not recommend this bank, customer service is never helpful or knowledgeable, lacks modern banking services.

I use Western Bank for a small nonprofit and couldn't be happier. Great, personalized customer service with long-term employees. Online banking is high quality and drive-thru hours are convenient.

Very unhappy. Went to get a roll of quarters and you need to be a customer there to get change! And this is supposed to be a neighborhood bank?
