The store is ok, but if you need something in automotive, be aware while there at least 5 people "working" in the area, but they only have one person to change your oil, battery or tire. Maybe less counter help and more technicians?

Half of the workers aren't even helping the customers. And with the money center, I looked it up online n it says open till 11pm. When I got there it says for money center go to the service desk. I went to the service desk nobody was there. I asked a worker n she said no service desk isn't open without even looking at me. They should at least update the hours online so it won't b a waste of time.

Why so much bad reviews? I agree w the last 5 star review. I'd like to add that I have met multiple Employees that were super knowledgeable (hardware) and super helpful (furniture). The arts and crafts section isn't too shabby (office, sewing, painting, beads, sequins, jewelry supplies, glitters...plenty to choose from for adult or child BASIC arts n crafts) either which is why I go there sometimes... you got 3 places in a row if you need arts n crafts (target, hobby lobby and Walmart, how could I complain!?) I've also met a random worker who was married to another Walmart worker, he was super helpful, and excited to be there working w his wife in the same building. How cute. Good vibes. The workers are almost without fail super kind and courteous. It's overcrowded after work hours when everyone is scrambling to get their shopping in. Way better during off peek hours. By the way if the sight of the store gets too... large pallets on the floor all the time, overstock in large bins all over... try the Walmart training location. That one is excellent , it's south of the cities. Can't remember where but one of the employees told me to go there if I wanted a larger art and crafts section.

The mangers don't know what they're doing. They stopped taking returns on clothes because of Covid. There were no signs at the register & hardly any in the store that I couldn't return the clothes. I was out $45 for a long time. The managers refused to put up a sign at the register or more signs in the clothes. I returned something on a receipt. Then I had them look up my receipt to return something else & they said they could see my receipt, but the receipt wouldn't let them return anything else. I had to do in store credit & get a no receipt on my ID. The manger just blamed it on cooperate & didn't try & override it. All their carts suck. People leave their carts at jimmy johns & they won't go & get them. Jimmy John's staff has to push them back. There has to be a cop there & he wasn't wearing a mask & talking closely to an elderly gentlemen. We told an employee, but nothing was done. This is the most horrible Walmart I've ever been to & the managers refuse to fix problems. Not to mention there's people smoking weed & cigarettes in the doorway possibly blowing Covid on you. It says people have to be 50 feet away from the building. Their employees are, but the route you go in, isn't right at the building & their employees are blowing smoke at me. They need to be 100 feet away from the building.

First off, I have been in lots of yucky Walmarts, but this one is right down there in the gutter with the worst of them. Sadly, it compares about equally with the downtown Renton Washington Walmart. I acknowledge that it's difficult to get trainable employees to empty garbage cans, clean restrooms, and stock shelves. But when the employees are visiting amongst themselves in plain view of the supervisors, it's just a sign that the inmates are running the asylum. It's dirty, it's not stocked and it draws some lax employees. Walmart is simply declining everywhere in favor of their online business, but some things can't be shipped and are never in stock. For whatever reason, this is consistently the grossest Walmart in the St. Paul Metro.

Ok we all get it , this isn't the greatest place in the world to shop. But for gods sakes it's Walmart and people go here because they want inexpensive stuff. You get what you pay for.

I need to understand how they can require customers to wear masks to enter but I saw almost 10 employees with their masks below their chins and one employee wasn't wearing one altogether! What the f*** Walmart? Do you have any idea how many people shop here? You are making the place a complete hive of infectious covid spreaders. Where is the management? Who is running this place? Wtf?!

This place is a desolate wasteland; without a doubt the worst Walmart I've ever been to in my life. If you want what you're looking for go to a different place because it's guarantee that they don't have it.

I bought $45 worth of clothes and they won't let me return them. They did not have a sign at the register saying I wouldn't be able to return them. I'm out $45 until God knows when. I talked to 2 mangers and told them there needs to be a sign at every register saying that you cannot return clothes and things. They said cooperate told them where to place the signs and they are just doing what cooperate said. I said so you obviously can't make your own decisions. It's not like they couldn't place a sign at the registers. They also referred me to cooperate. I called. But I shouldn't of been the one to call. He should of re-clarified with cooperate where to put the signs. It sounded like he was wrong. Also their carts are falling apart. Every time I take a cart at least the 1st two are bad. The wheels make extremely loud noises. Target & Cub have soft plastic carts.

I understand the current situation with a global epidemic with the virus but I came to fill my water jugs at the water dispenser and when I went to go rang it up, I was told I can only have one jug. Being that these are my jugs, I told the lady if I can only have one then they can dump out the water from the other one because I want my jug back; and then she said just this time I can have two. Again, I understand and syphathize with the current struggle but come on, this water came from their tap through their filtration system and it's not like a case of bottled water or anything. Let's beat this virus together but let's have more sense. I am not hoarding water, this is my truly my monthly water fill routine.

This is the most disgusting place to shop ever!! Dirty, disorganized, under stocked, the list goes on. When I need to come to this store I cringe. I'll take Target with their amazing friendly staff and clean, organized well stocked stores over this eye sore on Robert Street in West St Paul any day of the week.

Really bad store. Many things out of stock. But worst is that I looked for an item online that it said was in stock at this place, there were four of them. So I went to this Walmart and they not only didn't have any but the person helping couldn't even find a location for it on the shelf. I complained to the company and they didn't care--they said that when it says there are 4 items in stock that could mean it's out of stock. HUH? D*** company, not customer oriented, and this store is a mess. By the way--they need to get someone to shovel their entrances and get rid of the dangerous ice, plus the parking lot wasn't taken care of so slippery. How can this place have so many bad reviews and no one in management does anything about it???
