If you have the option of using any other rental service that’s even 50 miles away, do it.I’ve been renting trucks for 10 years now and I’ve used this location a handful of times, none of them good. The last 2 experiences really tipped the boat for me, last one specifically- especially when the GM Ethan flat out lied to me.Let’s start out with picking up the truck.Pickup time was 530, I showed up 10 minutes early. I was given keys to a truck in the back of the lot that’s about a 1-2 block walk, no biggie. (The truck was boxed in by 4 trucks) They wouldn’t bring me keys, I had to walk back up front. They then gave me wrong keys, twice. Long story short I didn’t leave until 630. Truck was a disaster when I opened it at my shop, broken glass, dirt, dolly was unhooked, a MESS.Fast forward to drop off, I am now being charged a fuel fee, an extra day, AND A CLEANING FEE. How ironic? So I get in touch with the GM, he tells me via voicemail (I still have it) he can refund the card and process it again or give me a voucher for next time. Why the hell would anyone want a voucher after this? He said he needed my approval to proceed.I text him the following day and he lies and says “I can only do a voucher”Top notch service Ethan! You’re an expert in lying my friend!

I'm rating the location 3 stars overall, however, Paige and Lisa would get 10 stars if that were an option. The location is inconvenient because it doesn't provide parking for customers other than a couple short-term spots. I also had an issue when I made an appointment in advance to drive over and get help with my storage unit door, which had become stuck. The person I had the appointment with acted like they didn't know about it. After a lot of waiting, Lisa came to help and explained what had happened with the appointment.Lisa exceeded expectations and spent a lot of time helping me try to get the door to my storage unit open. She did not give up even when I told her I would understand it wasn't her problem to solve. (Something in the storage unit had shifted and was blocking the door from opening). Finally, Paige came along and rescued us. She was the hero of the day. I was able to retrieve my stuff. So, 10 stars to Paige and Lisa, and 3 stars to rest of the operation.

They didn't help me refill propane, they said the hose was blocking and they don't know when they will repair it.

In short: even if you have to drive 20 minutes each way to a different location, do it. It's less of a hassle than dealing with this place. Turns out the reviews are all garbage for a good reason.Start to finish a bad experience. When we arrived we were informed they were "out of" some of the moving equipment we had reserved a week ahead of time (then why did you let me pay for it?) and also tried to get us to return the truck to an entirely different location because it wasn't theirs (not my problem.) We then had to walk quite a ways to a different spot to get our truck with dolleys in tow. First truck didn't start so we had to wait in the cold for another one to be brought to us and we were late to start moving even though we'd arrived early to the pickup time. Then after the move they stuck me with a $44 charge for "8 gallons of gas" (that's more per gallon than gasoline has ever cost in US history) even though the same receipt clearly shows we drove a grand total of 17 miles. And I put $10 of gas in on the way back, leaving the meter higher than when we started. So either they're claiming the truck gets under 2 miles per gallon and the meter is wrong or they're just blatantly trying to rob me. Would not be surprised if it's the latter.

Monday we went to get our hitch put on at UHaul on Como in St. Paul. An hour later, we got a call saying they couldn't find their impact wrench, so they couldn't do the hitch. We walk back, my husband wondering aloud the whole way about using a wrench and a breaker bar. We get there and ask them to call around to see if we can get in somewhere else. In the meantime, one female employee says, "Go to Napa and rent it," to the others. Another employee says he has one at his house. A guy on the phone says to rent one and another says he has a old one they can use. ? They decide the guy with the one at home will go get it. They'll call us when it's done. It took us going there and prompting them to figure something out for them to do anything. Then, we get a call an hour and a half later. They can't mount it. They broke the mounting bolt off of the mount on the van itself and they're "not comfortable" trying to finish the job b/c the van is so rusted out. We walked back. My husband asks them what makes them think it's rusted out, it's only 5 years old. The guy says he stuck his finger in there and it felt gritty with rust. We told them it's not rust, it's dirt, we live on a dirt road. The mount itself shows absolutely no sign of rust. Hell there's no sign of rust on the entire van. He flatly refuses to do anything else. They refund our money. But now nobody wants to mount a hitch b/c the bolt they broke off of the van is necessary and it would be a hard job to fix. When you sign the paperwork, you sign away your right to any recourse if they break anything. So, they basically broke the van and washed their hands of it. It will take work to fix BEFORE we can even mount a hitch.

Completely screwed us over. Put in an after hours pick up for a van rental. They called us 5 min before closing to say the can't actually rent out vans after hours giving us no time to do anything else.

We dropped off our van for a hitch installation. First, we get a call saying they can't find the impact wrench, so they can't do the installation. We go back, and my husband asks them to call around to see if anyone can fit us in, b/c apparently it's beyond them to just use a manual wrench. A worker says maybe they should just rent one. Another says he has one at home. I guess problem solving without prompting isn't their forte. So, worker #2 goes home to get his wrench. We get another call. They "don't feel comfortable" finishing the job b/c our van is rusted out. My husband asks them how they know that they can't see in the frame rail. Worker says they felt inside, and it felt gritty like rust. We live on a dirt road. We told them that. The van is 5 years old. It's not rust. It's dirt. He says he is still not comfortable. And, they broke the bolt off b/c they tried to use the impact wrench to get it all the way out, which caused the dirt to get in the threads and make it difficult to remove. They gave us our money back. That's the best I can say.

Advertises first month free storage with ANY truck or trailer rental. Not true. They refused to honor the advertisement. The guy said they “ Dont do it that way anymore” . Then mentioned something about new signage they have to put up.

I would recommend avoiding this specific site at all costs. I was double charged for my U-Haul reservation almost a month ago and still have yet to be contacted by the site manager about the issue despite calling U-Haul several times. I have yet to see any evidence of accountability (e.g., an apology) or even basic empathy with regards to the situation. Save yourself the trouble, and go somewhere else.

I went to get propane filled. Rang the bell. No one came out. Went to the service counter and found four staff sitting around. No other customers in sight. Went to fill the propane tank but their system is down so they couldn't do the transaction. I got an apology but make sure you call ahead. Hopefully someone will answer and tell you if their system is working.

There is no minimum amount of stars I could give for this place. I rented a truck and got it at approximately a quarter tank of gas, used about a gallon, and saw that the gauge was approximately the same spot so it would be fine to return it. WRONG! I was charged $55 since I "had used 5 gallons of gas" and it was a $30 service fee to fill it up between customers. Well they obviously don't fill it up since I got it at a quarter tank! One of the workers said he could get me $20 back but the nepo hire GM decided to deny it saying that I "approved the receipt" which I never did (I was told I could make a dispute when I returned it if I found anything wrong). I emailed the GM twice and called him twice but he never returned my call. This is one of the most poorly managed businesses I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with and is so bad I created a Yelp account solely to write this

When I picked up my truck, the key was not in the lock box as it said in the online instructions. I was then informed by an employee that they don’t know how the online pickup process works. What? Also, my truck had literally no gas left in it. As soon as I started it, it was on E and said I only had 3 miles until it was empty.Other problems included there not being a lock for the cargo door and the cargo light not working.

Waited 40 minutes for propane. No one came out to help. Staff cleaning trucks tried to help get attention, but no one came. Ended up leaving. Not the first time this has happened. Need more staff at this location.

The parking lot at this location is absolutely horrible. You're trying to pick up moving boxes but there's no where to park so you can put them in your car. They were also out of medium boxes and I got the last queen mattress bag, so you might call and check if they have what you want. Not sure if this is a location or corporate issue, but we were also told the wrong location to pick up our truck. We were told that we needed to pick up from this location by five, then told when we got there that our truck is at a different location. Thank goodness we're picking up the day before we move, or this would be a moving day nightmare.
