I recently talked to Rick Hennessey at Superior Pumps regarding a Warranty claim to replace my 91016 Pump. He informed me Superior Pump has an internal and unpublished rule and will not honor their stated “1 Year Warranty” if not purchased directly from Superior. Just like most folks we purchased this new from Amazon and it was fulfilled and delivered by Amazon. Still not covered and this rule is not stated anywhere that we can find. We have purchased half a dozen of these pumps over the past 2 years and only this pump has had issues. You just lost a loyal customer.

Lots of choices from low cost to high end pumps and even pre made kits for battery backup pumps. Using mine for another a month and it works great.

I used the 1/4 hp pump to flush out my Rinaii tankless water heater with white vinegar. It has worked flawlessly. Make sure pump is rinsed out with water before storing it after use. I heard a water-like sound swishing inside the pump after using it. Called the customer rep at Superior pump and they said what I heard is the oil inside the pump. If you tip the pump upside down and right side up and let it drain,you have all the water out.

Superior Pumps are great pumps and they stand behind their pumps. I wouldn’t use anything else!
