im sure its a fine place, but they apparently have a no backpacks rule, which is a huge problem for commuters like me who have no car to stow their backpack in. all i wanted was to grab some hot chocolate and breakfast on the way to work but was turned away with nowhere else i could go on foot without missing my bus that was cheap and open at 7 am.

These guys are NOT OPEN 24 HOURS LIKE THEY SAY. I walked blocks just for milk. Maybe you can get gas BUT INSIDE IS NOT OPEN. Hope I can save someone eles like me a walk for nothing .

Highlights: On Bus Line, Near Hamline University, Near Pierce Butler & Frontage Rd, Usually OK Customer ServiceThis Speedway is conveniently located on the bus line, near Hamline University.Sunday afternoon, I used the Wells Fargo ATM, taking out a $50 bill. When I went to check out with snacks that amounted to $4 + tax, the cashier informed me that she does not have a lot of change. It was presented as if she were requesting that I use a smaller denomination. I let her know that's the only cash I had, and just received it from the ATM and she was hesitant to make the sale, mentioning again that she does not have a lot of change in her drawer.I understand that this location has been robbed quite a few times- and they are most likely protecting themselves- still, not having enough change for a transaction using $50 bill and discouraging/shaming customers from POS was unimaginable until this point. The person I was with also went into the store to purchase something, and the cashier also informed him that she did not have a lot of change and he was using a $20 bill. I hadn't even mentioned my experience when he shared the disappointing details of his transaction.The status of your drawer is not the consumers information. Continue with transactions until you are truly unable to provide change for the customers. I have also seen business post handwritten signs near the cash register stating "$1's, $5's and $10's are appreciated."The store was decently clean and the slushie machines were up and running, which was important for my kids. Everything appeared to be fully stocked and presentable.

Place needs to be cleaned inside and out. I go inside ask if I can get a cup of ice for the bottle of water I’m about to pay for, employee says yes. The fountain machine has mold in the bottom of the ice/drain thing along the corners. On top of that this place is known to sell expired food and snacks. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.

the workers are great customer service people but really not sure how legal having the advertised gas price (on the large LED sign) lower than the actual charge for the gas is? total false advertising- went out of my way to get gas for $3.49 only to get charged $3.59.
