I was looking to purchase a home in St. Paul to buy after living in Oregon. I wanted to see a house in St. Paul and called on a Sunday and John Hanson zipped right over. He was honest and knowledgeable about the home and impressed me so much that I used him as my realtor!
He is a St. Paul native and his local knowledge is impressive. He worked hard to find the right home for me in this competitive market. He noticed the "little things" that I didn't see and understood my price point and finding a home to fit my needs. The entire SPARA team was so helpful the whole way. Most of all they have a give back 25% of their total commission to the buyer. I would highly recommend the entire team as they are honest and fair and work hard for you!

Our realtor Aimee Hanson was an outstanding and smart realtor someone can ask for. I’m writing this review bit late as we got busy with our new home for a while. We purchased our first home with Aimee, and she navigated us just amazing. Aimee has been our family realtor now as our uncle recommended us and many more in family. Aimee is very thorough with the process, on time and up to date with current market information. She guided us through every tiny steps which we noticed many of my new neighbors couldn’t experience with their realtors now. As we were first time buyers she knows how to anchor the whole procedure with being very truthful and helpful. We saved our tax money just because Aimee informed us to finish some paperwork which not everyone is not able to save those money. In short we received a five start service.

My husband and I recently purchased our first home together and we couldn't have asked for a better company to work with. We loved the mentality and honestly Aimee had as we walked through houses together. The whole process went very smooth, we were even able to close within 3 weeks! On top of everything else, their office is very clean and accommodating. I would highly recommend SPARA realty!

Admittedly I wasn’t ACTUALLY ready or planning to buy a house when I began working with John at Spara, but I feel so grateful that his was the team I ended up with! I closed on my first home last month, and getting there definitely felt like a long journey, but John and his associates helped me every step of the way—from schlepping all over town to see houses (with a very accommodating schedule!), to helping me understand alllllllllllll the financial aspects and other important points of homeownership. I felt like they really cared about helping me find the perfect home.

Me and My wife were first time home buyers and we are more than happy with how Spara handled our need. John Hanson is a great guy to work with. As we were first time buyer, we didn't really know how complicated it could be during seller's market for a first time home buyer to find a house that would make us happy. John was more than helpful to show us, various types of houses without hesitation that was within our budget, so that we would exactly know what we need. He gave us good recommendations when needed. We almost bought a house, in a hasty manner, which would have required lot of maintenance work and expense. But, John promptly did some research and comparison of houses within our budget and make us see why it was a bad deal. In addition to the smooth home buying experience we had, the cash back deal of 1% that Spara has is a bonus!

WORST BUSINESS!!! The owner of this business, John Hanson, previously flipped my house and did unpermitted work on the home's furnace. He replied to another review on here trying to blame his 80 year old mommy for the unpermitted work (notice how he never denies doing the unpermitted work). Very sad but I guess I'll contact her instead if he wants me to! He's tried to pass the buck to the other owners who had nothing to do with this. He also makes his staff respond to the Google Reviews because he's too lazy. LOL!

I have worked with Aimee at Spara Realty on a number of occasions now. She was referred to me through some family members. I bought my first townhome with her. She sold that townhome 9 years later. Plus she helped me look for a new place and helped me and my kids buy our first single family home about a month ago! She was very patient, encouraging and understanding when we had to put the search on hold since I lost my job. I love working with Aimee! She has saved me money on a few occasions by giving me her expert opinion regarding the condition of a home. She was able to tell me to walk away before I spent the money on an inspection. Aimee is very knowledgeable in her field! She knows the business and the market. She is so much fun to look for a house with and she has a program that beats out the competition. I mean who else gives you some of their commission when you buy a home!

As a first time home buyer I learned really quickly how difficult it is to buy a home during a "seller's market." I cannot even imagine purchasing a home without the assistance of Aimee. Aimee gave us the freedom to see any houses we had even the slightest interest in, regardless of the quality, location, price, and seller's realty company. She was quick to pick up on the type of home we wanted, even though we didn't actually know what we wanted. In the type of market we're in, Aimee's quick response time and flexibility in showing times greatly assisted in us purchasing a home, and when Aimee wasn't available John was available to give us another perspective. The best part of working with Spara and Aimee is that Aimee is not afraid to share her opinions. As a first time home buyer this was crucial because I know very little about the cost to repair, update, and change home items. Aimee helped us to maintain realistic about purchasing a home. I would highly recommend working with Spara and Aimee! The cash back you get after purchasing a home is the cherry-on-top of working with Aimee :)
