She's not a "groomer". Penny refused to use scissors on my little dog and "couldn't" clip my Yorkies front nails?!?! She did not clean the hair under her feet or clean her eyes and ears. My only choice was the 1/2 inch guard on her Clippers. Then she charged me $30. I'm not even sure she was bathed. Penny doesn't want to deal with any big dogs or adapt to any problems. She only wants easy and minimal care dogs. I wish she would have said that up front. She will not do anything to calm your dog or anything to make it a positive experience. Then she trash talked much of the immigrant community in St Paul.We won't be back & Penny is glad.

We love going to Penny! She's so good with our golden doodle! Our dog was very nervous at first but Penny was patient and worked with us to slowly get her more comfortable with being there. As new pet parents, she made us all feel very welcome! We keep going back!

Penny does a good job with giving my Yorkie's haircuts and her prices are reasonable. I'm also able to be there with my girls while they are being groomed. This is a HUGE plus for me.

We recently moved to the area and wanted to try a new groomer. We have a 55 pound goldendoodle and a 15 lb rescue dachshund mix. The goldendoodle loves people and has a tendency to jump when she greets people (worth noting, we keep her leash short and continually work on training her to stay down). We were refused at the door because our goldendoodle tried to jump on her. We suggested that she reacts well to treats and will sit/calm down after a treat - the response we received was 'I don't do treats'. At our previous groomer, the groomers fought over who got to cut our doodle because she's happy and easy to work with. How do you work with dogs and 1. don't use treats and 2. have never experienced a dog jumping on people? She also told us that we lied to her when we made the appointment by saying she had groomed our dogs before - I explicitly shared with her that they were new and described both dog's size and breed. The entire exchange was incredibly uncomfortable and frustrating. Driving across town is 100% worth it to stay away from Penny's Pet Grooming!

Wonderful! She did amazing with my very hyper standard poodle. I asked for a kind of strange cut for my poodle, and she turned out exactly how I hoped she would. She was very professional and the space was very clean.
