Highlights: Great Location, On Bus Line, Near Metro Transit Lightrail, Near Major Highways 94 & 35, Across the Street from Gas Stations & Restaurants, Great Cooked & Packaged Food Selections, Seafood Bar, Excellent Bakery & Hot Food Section, Fully Stocked, Good Customer Service, Caribou Located Inside Location, Wells Fargo ATM, Security Always PresentThere are too many great things to say about Lunds & Byerlys Downtown Saint Paul. I have not had a bad experience yet, though the people working are sometimes a little eccentric.I love the simplicity of the layout, how everything is always fully stocked. My favorite section these days is the food that is cooked in house and then packaged to be reheated at your convenience. They have a variety of different meal options to choose from, from every type of food you can think of.I love that they have a Seafood Section, a Sushi Station, Hot Food Bar, Salad Bar, Desserts Bar, Soup Section, Bakery, I mean Lunds & Byerly's is lacking nothing! There is a dining area where you are able to connect to WiFi and enjoy a lunch made in house! There is private parking, as well as Handicap Parking. From the parking lot, everything is wheelchair accessible and on the other side of the building there is an entrance that features stairs as well as a wheelchair ramp.Self-Check Out is super easy, but I always prefer to go through the line. There is rarely a wait that surpasses 5 minutes, and the staff is always kind and eager to help.I honestly could go on and on about all the different isles, sections and all the items they feature because they often times seem to have things that I needed that I didn't expect to find at Lunds. They only thing that I know that they don't have is a Cutting Knife, because I was looking for one when I purchased a cutting board.Other than that, I love this location and will continue to support this establishment.

I had never been to Saint Paul Minnesota prior to this recent visit. We were in town for the Eagles concert. We wandered into the store in search of lunch, not knowing what to expect since we had not heard of this establishment before. It reminded me of a Whole Foods type of place. I was quite impressed with the amount of fresh produce, and how beautifully everything was displayed. There were a lot of great choices for lunch, ranging from soups to salad bar to hot food choices, sushi, and quite frankly too many things to mention. Very nice place.

I am a frequent flyer at this location, i love all the dedicated hardworking patient kind interactive members of the team, I honestly think that the service exceeded the quality of food and that's really the reason I continue to shop here regularly it's an awesome welcoming place where you can guarantee that care, and extra personality will be a memorable addition to your grocery list. Grateful for your efficiency and conversation and customer appreciation.

Live above the one downtown St. Paul. Its expensive and the employees are rude. In fact last week when I was shopping they were giving out samples of Nuts. Look over at the Deli and some Ginger was standing there making weird faces at me and the Demo Lady. "I was like is she making faces at me or you?". She of course just laughed it off, but just another example of there rude/unprofessional grocery store. I only go when I absolutely have too.

This was the only grocery store within walking distance to the apartment I was staying at while in Saint Paul and boy was I grateful it was there! This part of St. Paul is a bit of a food desert when it comes to grocers, but this place is super nice and chock full of great options. I stopped in specifically to pick up coffee, coffee cream, and some milk for our air bnb, but I noticed a ton of great ready made meal options, great looking produce, and on top of that it was super clean and overall a really enjoyable shopping experience. I did walk there but you should note that there is an attached parking garage so plenty of parking available if you feel you may need a car for your load of groceries. I took it down a star because it is truly a more expensive grocer - more in line with a whole foods, but it was a really great experience overall.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I was racially profiled by the officer on duty today, August 2nd, 2023, around 9:45 am. I’ve NEVER been inside one of these stores until this morning, and after this, I never will. I was at the bus stop waiting for my bus when I decided to get some coffee. As I walked into the store, I saw the tall white cop with short hair. I didn’t pay him any mind; I continued my search for coffee. After walking around the store for a minute or two looking for caribou, which I didn’t find so, I decided to get doughnuts. I call them to check out and go outside to sit in one of the chairs. The officer follows me out, walks past me, then comes before me and asks what song is playing. I shake my head no then he goes on to say it’s the band on my shirt. He pulls out his phone and says let me show you something. He shows me a picture from a security camera of another black woman walking out of an exit. I guess the woman was shoplifting in the store. He goes on to say that’s you. I say no, it’s not. He follows with yes, it is. I say I have ID. Would you like to see it? Then he walks away. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

This location is very convenient and I'm surprised by the quality and amount of products offered here. However, their customer service is lacking and their meat is not very high quality--don't waste your money. I hoped higher quality would justify the prices but was very disappointed. When a sale item rang up wrong, the manager was very determined to find a reason why the higher price must be right rather than simply fix it. Even though he could see in the ad that it was on sale, he kept coming up with reasons why it might be a different product or wasn't in the right spot or something. He literally ran off to see if there were multiple displays or something. He worked so hard to deny me the sale price and kept coming up empty that I eventually told him it wasn't worth my time to get the advertised price. Even if the product was somehow different, if you have to try that hard to figure out the mismatch, they should just honor what is clearly an indecipherable difference to customers and employees alike. We tried a few of the meat counter items. When there weren't enough burgers, the employee ran to the back and brought out a vacuum packed set and gave them to me like that, so if you think you're getting fresh, hand-pattied burgers, you're not... We tried some chicken kebabs too and we had to throw them all out because the texture and taste was so bad. It tasted like chicken that had been pumped with so much saline solution, the texture was really gummy and off. save your money, don't buy the meat!

Liked it. It was a unique grocery store for a few minutes before it closed. I was told by my sister to find a quick dinner. They had a friendly cop who kept popping up in different areas of the store to remind all of us how many minutes were left. He said "It was like herding cats" because other folks kept disappearing in other areas of this store. The store was doing its closing announcements over the speakers in the store. We ended up buying 2 Soda pops and 2 pre-made Salads mine was a Turkey Chef Salad and hers was a Chicken Oriental. She had to pay for parking 1st in front of the store and had to pay for our meals. The salads were good as a late-night meal. We had no idea that many of the fast food restaurants either had very long drive-thru lines or closed up at 7:00 P.M. This was on a Friday. That was puzzling to me??. The next time we visit St. Paul we will visit this location ? Lund's & Byerlys during regular store hours. And take our time. The cop was nice enough to let us come in, he could have said No and was very funny to chat with too. My sister said "It was the fastest shopping she had to do". We will be back.

I always receive friendly and fast service at the deli counter. The store is clean and well stocked. The only drawback is that because it is a smaller store, they don't have the same variety you find at other locations. But I love having a downtown location!

A smaller store but convenient to downtown St. Paul. Clean, well stocked, has deli, bakery, prepared foods. Very nice staff too.
