I unfortunately have to echo some of the other reviews for Hieme's. The first experience in the store was great but went downhill on subsequent visits, and didn't feel like I was being listened to. I was told due to my build I should get a custom suit instead of going off the rack. I had never done custom suit and was excited to get a perfect fit. Unfortunately I had to leave the suit here 3 times to be tailored. After the second time I decided to learn how a suit should fit and came in requesting adjustments accordingly. After 3 attempts, I have accepted the suit will not fit like a glove. The jacket looks baggy, and is too long in the sleeves and in length. It also does not sit flat behind my neck and bunches up, something I didn't notice at the store, because there is only a single mirror to see yourself head on in. This does feel like something my haberdasher should have noticed and taken care of.

Quality Suit, Excellent Guest Service! Richard was great! He helped me and the rest of the wedding party suit up for a friend's wedding!

THE definitive shop for anyone! Regardless if it’s off the rack or custom, the staff will make you feel and look GOOD! I will only buy suits here! Oh, and they have a full service barber!!!! I have seen excellent sales but what keeps me coming back is the staff. Larry, Richard, and Keith all outstanding gentlemen! Thank you all!

I got a shave and a haircut from Mario. Both were excellent, I would highly recommend this place. If you can make an appointment or you can try dropping in like I did. Fridays and Saturdays may be good for walk ins. I also bought a belt while I was here and would like to come back to buy a new suit one day. They seemed well staffed and very helpful in the store as well. Thank you!

I was shopping for a black tie optional wedding and Shamus Bueler at Heimie's was fantastic! Shamus asked questions and listened to my needs and my budget, giving me several options to think about. I ended up with a black suit that could be dressed up but then later used regularly for work, a convertible tuxedo shirt, and accessories that brought a black suit towards the formal wear category (pocket square, cufflinks, bracers, etc.). Throughout the initial conversation, the ordering process, the fitting/alterations, Shamus and other staff at Heimie's were communicative, friendly, and professional. I am extremely satisfied with my purchases and will be returning for future suits.

My experience with Heimie's was outstanding. I worked with Richard to get a custom suit for a family wedding. He was a great listener, had amazing knowledge and made me feel as though I was an important customer, even though this was my first visit (it won't be my last!) Thank you Heimie's for having an inclusive and quality business and employing such great and talented people.

Awesome affordable selection of suits and suit coats. There is a lot of really nice men's clothing to choose from. Very Friendly and Helpful Staff. Plus there's a barber shop.

First of all I’d like to say that this shop is not only the apex of men’s clothing quality in the twin cities but also houses some of the most talented staff and craftsmen I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Specifically, Richard in the tailoring department. I recently purchased a custom tailored suit and throughout the design process not only was he attentive and exceptionally knowledgeable on the styling, material, and measurements he also went the extra mile to ensure that my suit was tailored perfectly for me and rush made ready for an important meeting. Two years ago, I decided to check Heimie's out for a wedding tux after it was recommended by a couple of friends and I could not have had a better experience. I knew little of what to expect going in and Jeff could not have been more helpful and made the whole process extremely enjoyable. He was honest and knowledgeable and spent the greater part of 4 hours fully engaged working with me and my wife to fit the perfect combos.I am writing this review now roughly two years later as unfortunately a dry cleaner lost buttons to a custom shirt I ordered with Jeff. After trying to contact the clothing company directly with multiple failed attempts, I gave Jeff a call down at the Red Wing story. As two years have passed, I doubt Jeff remembers my face or who I am but he immediately went to work to help me find a replacement set of buttons. He contacted the owner of the clothing company directly and was able to get a replacement set of buttons shipped to the Red Wing store. On top of that, Jeff offered to drive them up to the St. Paul store as well as I live nearby... not to mention it was Christmas week!I highly recommend checking out Heimies if you have not before!

The time spent there finding a nice starter suit for myself went well. I worked with Keith and he was very personable and went above and beyond to make sure that the suit would fit properly. Afterwards, they took down my number and stated that I would receive a text the following week informing me when my suit was ready for pick up. Three. Weeks. Go by. I hear nothing. I give them a call to see what is going on and am told that they're very busy on the day I called and asked if they could call me back in 10 minutes. Three. Hours. Go by. I hear nothing. I give them another call and am finally informed that my suit is ready for pick up. This lack of responsiveness was disappointing. When I went to pick up my suit, they had me try it on and looked me over to make sure it fit right. They were very personable while I was there and even caught a loose string that they took care of before I left. I also scheduled a haircut here and was pleased with the results. I would have given this a higher rating if it weren't for the fact that the way I was treated outside the store made me feel like a second class customer. It makes it hard for me to want to come back or recommend them.

From start to finish my experience was Heimie's Haberdashery was incredible. I worked with Julie to design the wedding suit of my dreams. As a woman, it can be intimidating to step into the world of menswear but I always felt comfortable and welcomed. The suit was exceptionally beautiful and completely custom to my liking. Julie went out of her way to provide exceptional customer service and made sure the suit was just right. She even rushed a last minute fix the week of my wedding. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for beautiful high-quality clothing with topnotch service. If I had the money I would have a closet full of these suits!
