Superb place to learn about raptors in Minnesota. I was impressed by the knowledge, training and expertise that the volunteers had. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back. Great experience for a mere $5! Being so close to such majestic birds was surreal.

The Raptor Center is an amazing place that rehabs raptors and also educates the public in person. For 2 adults and a preteen it was $21 on a Sunday afternoon. We were able schedule a time for a public tour last minute, but we were the only ones on it (the one before us was packed). It was an amazing experience for that price. The people at The Raptor Center are wonderful educators! Thank you so much for rehabilitating raptors AND educating the public!

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 1:45 pm and made our way inside the building to check in. There was very limited parking available outside of the building, so we had to park in a paid parking garage directly across from the raptor center. Our admission tickets were purchased ahead of time on their website. Once we went inside, we were greeted by an employee and checked in. There was a small gift shop by the entrance, as well as several informational plaques, detailing the raptor centers work in rehabilitating injured raptors. The tour started promptly at 2 pm and the volunteer employee gave us a brief introduction on the topic of raptors. The employee also walked us over to a raptor that was housed in the main lobby, and told us some background information on why the raptor was initially brought in. After the introduction, we put on shoe coverings and followed the employee to the back part of the building. Here, we got to see over a dozen raptors who unfortunately could not be re-released into the wild again. The employee talked about several of the raptors, including what their injuries were and why they were not able to be released into the wild. We then followed the employee back to the main lobby.
Tip: The tour took approximately 45 minutes.

Loved our tour of the raptor center. My daughter loves owls so I was looking for a place to see owls without having to drive all the way to the zoo. This place was so educational and I was so impressed with the friendliness of all the staff. Will definitely visit again.

Had the humbling experience of fostering two owlets into adulthood. Peanut and beauty. Fell out of there nest, and became foster parents to two beautiful great horned owl’s. Adding a female adult they grew into wonders of this world.

Our school hosted 2 virtual field trip with The Raptor Center for our preschool-5th grade students. It was wonderful! Students were able to see the birds close to the camera and learn all sorts of interesting facts about 3 different raptors. The Raptor Center staff did a great job of providing age appropriate information and answered many student questions. We HIGHLY recommend the virtual field trip options if you are unable to go to The Raptor Center in person.

It was a dream coming true when I had the opportunity to do a course on raptor rehabilitation there back in 2016. I've been following the amazing work that is done there. Having the opportunity to see it with my own eyes was life changing since I work with raptors here in Brazil. Keep the amazing work! I'm looking forward to visiting again!
