Good prices and meats. Just their beef sticks are often poorly labeled and many contain cheese inside when the name and ingredients don’t indicate it.

I’ve been to the “best butcher shops” in MN and WI and none of them can compete with Flicker. Their staff is amazing, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. To the point where I should bring them beers next time I shop there. Also if you’re looking for a great sandwich skip Jimmy John’s and grab one of theirs. I could write more about how much I appreciate this place but do yourself a favor and just stop in and you’ll understand this review.

BEST Butchery with meats, sandwiches, macaroni & cheese, pickles and many tasty protein options. Excellent staffed and service, owned and managed by Jeremy. Open Tuesday-Sunday. Stop in on the corner of White Bear Ave and County Road E, picnic table outside or you can bring food into Battleground next door and play games on their extensive tables and board game selections. CAPS off to local businesses and brands in White Bear Lake.

Do not bring your deer here to get processed. After reading the good reviews I thought I'd give these guys my business. Huge mistake.
1. way more expensive than other places
2. deer sausage had zero flavor
3. screwed up my order gave me maple sugar sticks when I ordered jalapeno and regular sticks
4. took months for them to complete the order
5. lied to me multiple times when called on my order throughout the winter telling me it would be ready in a week or two
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else don't make the same mistake I did in trusting these guys with your deer meat

Had brats and hot dogs for 4th and was very disappointed. Wasn’t much flavor and dry. Staff is great but the product was not satisfactory. This is just my experience, I hope others have a tastier one!

EXCALIBEAR!!! If you're looking for a sando that'll make you come back, this is it. I just downed that bad boy and I feel like a 100 bucks ($100 is a lot of money to me).

The wild rice and blueberry brat changed my life. I hope this flavor stays in the regular rotation it was the best brat I've ever had. I love you flicker meats.

First off, they stock fresh (not frozen) BEEF RIBS!!! I was told about this butcher shop last summer and for some reason didn’t check it out until today because it is a bit of a haul from my house. It was completely worth the trip down!! I walked in and was immediately greeted by this guy named Jeremy (I think he owns the place). He was SUPER helpful and showed me a whole bunch of different options I had for beef ribs in stock. They have a great selection and he basically said that if they didn’t have it, they could get it. The customer service is definitely top notch. They were so friendly that I could have walked out of there carrying a bag of garbage and would have been happy…but I walked out of there carrying a bag of heavenly beef ribs!! Don’t feel like smoking your own…they have them already smoked!!
Also, the pricing is very competitive to just about anywhere and you are getting very high quality. I am now switching to this shop for everything that I’m going to smoke this summer. Costco might be a little cheaper per pound but the quality of the meat here looked better. We will see after a few cooks. The service is completely worth a few bucks extra though. They had some really good advice that you aren’t going to get at some warehouse store and they actually smoke meats there so they know what they’re talking about. I would tell anyone to give these guys a visit before going anywhere else in the Twin Cities.
