Each time we've been in here its been for an unpleasant reason, but this staff has truly showed they care with being available, giving treatment updates when our fur-babies were hospitalized, etc. It's also a nice bonus to have coffee and a few small snacks, for those times you're waiting a while for treatment to be done. Thanks for your hospitality!

I can't say enough nice things about Como Park and the staff there. My rabbit Shirley was lethargic and uninterested in food at about 11 pm last night, well after our regular vet was closed, but there's no waiting when a bun doesn't wanna eat. So, I packed her and her sister up and made my way through the snow to Como Park.Everyone was so nice and friendly, even though it was late and I was very tired, so I'm pretty sure I wasn't making sense. They were kind and compassionate. I could tell they really cared about my girls like they were their own. Shirley got excellent care and we were on our way within a few hours. I feel the price ($480) was fair, especially considering that it was after hours care for an exotic pet and that Shirley got fluids as well as meds. (also, including a Popsicle stick with the Critical Care syringe is absolutely genius! A+ to whoever thought of doing that, it was so much easier to get the Critical Care into the tube.)I'm happy to report Shirley is hopping around, eating, drinking, and pooping like nothing happened and that's 100% because of the excellent, timely care she got at Como Park. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my baby ♥️

Great vet clinic! The staff are friendly and they have a lot more flexibility for scheduling than my last vet, including weekends. The facility is nice and clean and recently constructed. Their rates are affordable and exactly what I was looking for in a new vet clinic!

We came here on a Saturday night with a sick guinea pig. Unfortunately we were back a few days later to say goodbye, but I felt like the staff here were good to us. Clear communication, seemed caring. It's a ER/Urgent care situation so you will have a long wait time but its a comfortable place and they keep your pets comfortable and stable while waiting, not terribly expensive in our experience either. The only downside is due to it being a 24 hour place and us needing care over the course of a few days we didn't seem to talk to any of the same people twice and had to explain what was going on over and over (maybe just being thorough which is good), but I will say everyone we worked with was kind.

This is honestly the best place to bring your pet! I'm sorry if I'm giving you guys too much props but you're honestly my only favorite place!

Took my hyperthyroid cat in to get lab work and a current prescription for his thyroid med. Doctor phoned me the next day and told me the amount he was increasing it and how many “clicks” of the med to use. I went to pick up the med and it took me a full hour as the staff couldn’t figure out how to calculate the medication, didn’t understand why I was questioning the doctor since he quadrupled the dose, and didn’t have the correct tube of med and sent me out the door with NOT enough medication and it was not in a “click” pen—so directions as to how many “clicks” did NOT work!! I had to go back in and ask them to recalculate it again, and then I was told they ran out of the click pens. How would I have know how much to give my cat since they left the same directions plus it was only enough medication for one week, and I paid for one month!!!! This is extremely poor care!!!!! …still waiting as they still haven’t brought out the correct med and dosing to me!!!! Very unhappy!

Great care today for my dog with an abdominal blockage. Everyone was kind, patient, warm. You know it's a great care team when your dog misses them and wants them to come back when they leave the exam room! So grateful she's home tonight and doing better.

I came in panicking with my injured elderly cat the night before Christmas Eve and they were so kind and helpful. I was seen fairly quickly (as far as emergency departments go) and I appreciated that they checked with me before doing any procedures that cost extra.

Apparently they're very good with dying animals but not anything living. I took my dying 15 year old diabetic cat there and she was euthanized, staff were terrific on the emergency side. The day to day practice, not so much. I have a 34 year old cockatoo, just needs his nails trimmed. He has been seen by a DVM at another practice up to September 2023. Como Animal practice would not trim the birds nails unless I also agreed to have a DVM do an exam. I explained the bird was seen by a DVM - interestingly, I have also taken the bird for nail trims to a third practice where the vet tech simply takes him in and trims his nails. Como supervisor said that state requirements are that a DVM examine the bird before a nail trim is done. Then there was the whole "wait list" episode where one call advised I would be wait listed and contacted when they could schedule, no follow up call after several months so I called again and was told there was no wait list. There was also no mention of a DVM exam, staff was okay scheduling a nail trim. The person answering the phone today was rude, they want a $50 deposit for an appointment and they can't get their story straight. Five stars for the emergency staff and if I could give zero stars for the day to day operations, I would.

I called them last night at 11:30 as I knew my dog was in heart failure. I was told there would be possibly up to a 4 hour wait as there was only 1 Dr. and they were in surgery. I chose them as they were upfront about it and the tech, whom I found out was named Christie was extremely compassionate. I was there about 2 1/2 hours and I can say it was the best veterinary service I ever had. Dr. Todd did her euthanasia as she agreed it was the right thing to do.
