I had the best experience adopting my little Lenny Bee, formally known as Bailey, from Caring for Cats. The facility is nice and clean. I really loved the fact that the cats were kept in large rooms. They seem to truly care for the animals they have. You could tell they were all so loved and cared for.

The facility looked wonderful, and it genuinely seems like they care about matching a correct cat to a correct person, so for that I give them credit. The person on the phone (Amber) however was extremely abrasive, and essentially told me not to adopt a cat. This was all because I expressed interest in potentially leash training a future cat. No other questions were asked on my actual ability to care for a cat. Judging a book by one point on your adoption sheet is a surefire way to turn someone away from your facility.

We were so impressed! The cat and kitten rooms are clean and the animals are well taken care of.
Our adoption coordinator worked with us to identify cats that were a good fit for our home and took lots of time to let us get to know the individual cats and make sure we could meet their needs.
We ended up adopting two cats and their advice on introducing them to the house and each other was extremely helpful and they are settling in well!
Its clear our new kitties were well taken care of and given lots of socialization and attention making their transition to our house a lot less stressful for them.
Update: our new kitties are settling in great! We took them to an introductory visit at our vet she was impressed their vaccinations and records were so complete that all she needed to do was trim their claws.

I’ve called this place exactly 12 times within 2 months, left 6 voicemails and haven’t gotten a call back. What is the point of you guys having a phone or a receptionist at that matter if you don’t ever answer nor return a phone call?

Bright and clean. All the cats and kitties look healthy and those that like to socialize, were so adorable!

My mother in law surrendered my cat Phil without my knowledge while caring for him during my move. This shelter will not return my cat to me. I am devastated to have lost him and this shelter was of no help to me. So disappointed to have them take a cat who is very much wanted by me.

Even during CoVid, I was able to make an appt to check out a cat. While that one wasn't the one for me, I happened upon a 4 mo old kitten, who came home with me. 2.5 years later, Bella and I are firmly in love. Thanks for letting me adopt my baby girl!

They take wonderful care of the cats, and I hope to find a sweet furry friend there after our lovely old lady moves on to kitty heaven.

I volunteered at Caring for Cats for three years and recently left.. I really did not want to leave the cats but I could not take any more of their disrespectful treatment! They treat their VOLUNTEERS like we aren't giving our time freely to help the cats and are just downright rude to us. I was extremely disappointed by the treatment I received when I started to ask basic questions about the cats wellbeing (and never received answers other than management knows what they are doing). I don't want this to affect them getting adoptions, because the cats sit there longer than they need to (due to management not wanting to change their practices). If anything I HOPE this gets more people to adopt! I desperately want people to adopt from here, BUT overall CFC should do a better job at taking into consideration the cats' wellbeing and getting them adopted out AND respecting their volunteers. They say they need volunteers, but they canceled a day shift full of workers that loved their day shift, and no longer have day shifts for the cats, only one shift in the PM (losing all of their volunteers that can only do a day shift). When we asked for our shift back because people could not do evenings they said they would be so kind to give them a DEEP CLEANING shift where you don't even clean the cats rooms, but everything else in the building..who wants to volunteer with cats to not even spend time with cats?!?! They are not open to the public and it can be up to a few weeks before an appointment. I feel they do the cats a disservice by not being open to the public (and they are on the main street) or making appointments more available. My friend and I also trained for adoption positions and they never utilized us here, so I know that they have volunteers who would be willing to come in for adoption work. I started to feel so sad to be there and see the same cats over and over and the fact that they aren't open more for adoptions really ticks me off! I really think it's wrong. Why wouldn't they have two shifts a day, one of those being open to the public?? I think they could do it but they just don't want to manage more... but I wouldn't know because nobody would tell me why, instead they would just send rude reply's like, "we see you've asked this question again, and we're management we know best so we're not going to give you an answer bla bla bla now get back in line" BASICALLY. Like hello I am VOLUNTEERING here I do not need to be somewhere that is so rude and disrespectful to a girl who has spent 3 years here in the ISO Dept meeting all the new cats and LOVES them and wants to get more involved and is asking questions because I CARE for the cats?! Take what you want with this information, i LOVE the cats here they are wonderful, please adopt them, I just really don't like their management and their way of doing things.

I have a foster cat from there. They take very good care of the cats there and make sure the cats go to good homes.
