Save yourself time and go elsewhere. Avis is an absolute joke and will screw you out of more and more every chance they can. They will add fraudulent fuel charges even if you return the car full. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these frauds. Go to National Car or other affiliate. Avis will also treat you like you are an idiot.

Poor service. Car was not ready; Had to search in the freezing-cold parking garage to finally get a car. Never got a signed contract, nor did I ever get any receipt for the transaction, neither before nor after the rental.

I have rented at the MSP Avis monthly over the past 5 months as I've traveled for work. I always receive good service, shown by staff's responsiveness, friendliness and willingness to do service recovery on the spot if there are issues. During the most recent visit, the initial car I was given kept giving a service light. After driving it for 1/2 day, I returned to Avis for a trade. Sam was happy to trade out the car. Upon preparing to leave in the replacement, I realized I didn't have my license and had left it in the other vehicle. When i went back to the office, Sam suggested I talk to the guys who check in the cars. I went and spoke to Mohammed (who is always SO NICE when I bring in the cars). He called his colleague, Jeraldo ("Jerry") to help me. Jerry went ABOVE & BEYOND. He drove me down to the "bowels" of the airport so I could find the car that I had previously driven and look for my license. The car was just about to go into the car wash when we found it. I was and still am beyond grateful and so happy. Not only would I not have been able to leave with the replacement car, but I wouldn't' have been able to travel back to Texas when leaving the airport. He basically saved me from so many potential issues by taking a few extra moments, going above and beyond, and being an exceptional service provider.

I’m President’s Club status at Avis as I’ve rented a lot of cars for business trips I take. I rented a full sized SUV for this trip and when I got to the counter at MSP, the experience went south quickly. Normally I just pick a car from the app when I land, but that was not available for some reason. The lady at the Avis counter was the only one working at the time and she was struggling to get through our interaction. When she finally found a car for me, I took the 3 other people with me through the parking garage to our designated parking space, only to find that the Jeep Wagoneer I was told we were getting, ended up being a Jeep Wrangler. Rather than go back to the counter, we just squeezed in and left because there were about 7 other people behind me in line when we left the counter. Not a great experience at all.

Long wait time for pickup, the vehicle I reserved was not there. They then told me the location of another vehicle to pickup and there was no vehicle in that spot in the garage. Had to wait in another line at the garage to get another vehicle arranged. No instructions were given for returning the vehicle. I only plan to rent from here again if it is the only option available.

Don’t rent from Avis at MSP. I agreed to $79 for one day, way too high already. Then I dropped off my vehicle no one was there so the desk took the key and I was told I would receive an email receipt. When I did it was for $211!! They added coverages I never accepted. Renter beware.

I have been traveling to Minneapolis frequently and I always rent a car from Avis at the airport. The staff is always helpful. This last visit of mine was for a funeral and they were especially kind and accommodating.

Very accommodating and helpful as I had significant delays with my flights this trip. I was able to get the car I wanted and price was great.

When I got into my vehicle it didn't have a full tank of fuel, then the car said a tire was low on pressure so I notified the employee and he said "that's Minnesota you can just drive it and it should be fine or add some air or just call roadside assistance if there's a problem," then finally the car needed an oil change. Just didn't seem like Avis cared much about their vehicles or the comfort and safety of customers.
