Have tried to go the last 3 days in a row. Every time there is a hand written note on the door with a different time they closed early or be back in an hour or 2 etc. Frustrating to say the least. When I have been in the employees are helpful but extremely short staffed. This company really needs to get their stuff together.

Ridiculous understaffed and the staff that is there doesn't help much. I needed help finding items in the disaster of a store and one employee was cashing out 5 customers while the other was eating chips and cheese dip.

Nobody is ever around to check you out. Great prices and they have a little bit of everything, perfect for small town st francis, But the store always looks like a tornado went through it. I would give it 3 if it wasnt for the clean, neat, and organization(or lack of lol).

Store management is completely incompetent and love watching regular folks waste their time. My partner went into the store, spent 15 minutes finding everything they needed (which is the ONLY reason im giving 2 stars, because they at least had everything), only to find out that they only accepted CASH. No card, just cash. This would not have been a big deal if this was clearly advertised on the entry door, but it was not. It makes PERFECT sense to put it by the register, where it is clearly visible after you have already wasted time shopping, only to find out you cannot pay. If management cannot use a marker to write and properly place a sign, then i can only imagine what their other shortcomings are.

It started out ok, but has really become horrible, we haven't shopped there for a year now, employees stand and talk to each other, or on the phone, customers are not first there, they do not keep the good employees very long..??

Ive gone to this dollar general for many years now and ive found its a great stop by store. They have many products including a refrigerated and frozen section, meal food isles, shampoo isles, clothes isles, a makeup isle, many things for cleaning and storage, and we cant forget the animal products. The staff has always been friendly to me and helped when i needed assistance. One thing is they always seem be to under staffed so at times there are boxes or carts around the store, but hey what store doesnt have general stock up keep!
