No staff on-site to chase away the ghost that kept turning off the bathroom light. We had to use our own flashlights in there. The Grant House is an old building, nice and clean. Haunted? Room #8, third floor, no elevator so, we got our exercise. Telephone conversation with Staff said the restaurant is not part of their operation. WiFi a little slow. Overall, we enjoyed the place.

This was a fun place to stay. Having the restaurant downstairs was very convenient, the staff there was delightful. We really enjoyed the patio and front porch.
I would have enjoyed our stay much more if they hadn't had air fresheners plugged into all the outlets. I had a raging headache the first night we stayed there from the artificial fragrance.
Unfortunately we did not have a bath mat in our bathroom and the tile floor in the bathroom was very slippery, my husband fell down. They need to pay attention to the details.

We were in town for a wedding at Creekside Farms (just 4 min down the road) and booked a room day of. I cannot believe how comfortable it was, I slept great. Felt very clean while still homey. We stayed in room 6 with the king bed I did not want to get up in the morning it was so cozy. It was also incredibly convenient, self checkin with door codes. I highly recommend.

I rarely take the time to write reviews but I enjoyed my stay so much I had to do it. We stayed in the Wilder's Suite and it was one my favorite places I've ever stayed. The bed was huge and supremely comfortable, the TV had a roku hooked to it so we could sign into our streaming services and watch whatever we wanted, the decor of the room was very cozy and welcoming. To top it off the bathroom was super cute. It even had a nice big tub in it so my wife could enjoy a relaxing bath. If we are ever in the area again we will be staying here no question.

We ate lunch at The Fort. Food was great: pulled pork Hawaiian tacos and a Reuben panini. We loved both!

We had a delightful time at the Grand Hotel. The rooms were not only charming but cozy and quiet. There is a good integration of modern comforts with old world panache. The check in was via codes so no staff was visible. We were given a phone number should we have needed help — we didn’t. The hotel restaurant was closed but we found a welcoming and tasty local Mexican restaurant on the next block. After a good sleep in a pleasant setting we left wondering why anyone would stay in a chain hotel.

What a great way some rest and learn about the history of this great little community! Lots of noise from the heavy traffic, but nothing that can't be fixed with some heavy curtains! We didn't see anyone that actually worked here. The room was very clean. I wish we had better options for breakfast. Even the coffee was very cheap and generic. Not what we expected from a 1800's hotel.

Went here for a paranormal investigation. The hotel is a beautiful building and has plenty of history. Fantastic atmosphere in the building.

We had a wedding in Rush City and this hotel was only 4 minutes away, which was great. It's a super cool hotel that is over 100 years old. They have the rooms set up old fashion, but nicely renovated. Each room is unique and super cute. They have a small coffee bars on the 2nd floor and a sitting area with a fridge on the first floor. There is no elevator. This is a self check-in hotel, so you have to have door codes to even enter. Your communication is over email or phone. We really enjoyed our stay here & would stay again.Rooms: Each were unique and different. They are on floors 2 & 3.Nearby activities: You can walk to a few things right in townSafety: Everything is locked 24/7. Need a code to enter the hotel.
