“Great buying experience. I hit this one and the one in Maplewood in the same day. This one had better clothes and Maplewood had better shoes. Clothes are a little higher priced then other OUAC I have been to but still reasonable. Will go back”
“Twelve Vultures is such an amazing shop. I don't know what I love more, the uniquely curated assortment of wonder in every square inch of this place, or chatting with the knowledgeable and friendly owner. If you are interested in odd knickknacks or want a statement piece for your collection, this is the place.”
“LOVE this place! Such a beautiful curation of products and welcoming + warm experience. Not only does Amanda have an amazing eye for finding gems, she takes the time to understand your style + needs to provide thoughtful recommendations. I so appreciate this space in our community!”
“Love this place! Delicious snacks and drinks all while you shop all the booths full of curated goodness. I love that the last weekend of the month (+ Monday!) is a haven for makers and local food trucks and 20% off most things.”
“Impeccable service, the owners are extremely nice to deal with and really know the business. I always find something that I want when I go there, fantastic location and very clean. Do yourself a favor and stop in!”
“What a great store! I was looking for a lowboy dresser and Doug was able to find something that he had in storage that fit my needs perfectly. Plus, he refinished and delivered it, all for an extremely reasonable price. Really great experience overall.”

“encore is incredibly well organized and you can find so many unique pieces. if you’re a teen/adolescent, i’d maybe recommend coming here. it’s pretty hit or miss but very doable to find banger statement pieces. additionally, encore has a discount system in which if an article of clothing has been on the racks for a certain amount of time, you can receive a 50% or 75% off. many of the pieces are carefully handpicked to ensure that customers only get the best of the best. the vintage section at the bottom of the store is totally worth checking out too even if you’re not just to vintage clothing! the owners are such lovely people and are incredibly helpful.”
“It's an excellent place to fix your clothing. I took my purse and down jacket (both had some zipper issues), and after that, another store wanted to overcharge me. The two young men working there were amiable, and they took a look at my down jacket and were able to fix the zipper in 5 minutes. As for my purse, I left it there for about a week, and they called me when it was ready to pick up. I was thrilled with the result, and the fees were very reasonable. I think it would be a good idea to repair the lair. Good job, and Thank you.Update as 03/2024:I used their service again recently. The rate has gone up, but it's understandable. I took a winter extra-long jacket to replace the zip. They were able to fix it in a few days. They have moved to a new location, but the service is still on the same stand. I recommend them.”
“Went in today to make a deal with the owner. He was very polite and had a great sense of humor, he wasn't there and came back to help me still. I left with a deal being made and didn't fee at all uncomfortable with it. He answered my questions and helped me in understanding the process. I highly recommend this business. Very great experience. Thank you pop culture.”
“The vibes in this store are immaculate! Their used records are also sorted which is a huge plus. Selection can be more on the pricier side in comparison to other thrift stores since it seems like they want to keep all of their stuff to look really cool. The person working was also friendly and let us browse the front without any issues. Overall a solid place to stop!”
“Loved the vibes of this place! Excellent earrings, clothing, hair clips, etc, especially for the alternative crowd. It is a bit pricey for a thrift store, but I think it’s worth it if you’re struggling to find what you like at the more common chain thrift stops.”
“Their unusual hours of operation means I only have a certain amount of time to shop and it's over too soon...Added 2024: This was my mother's favorite place and with her gone now I go there with my daughter. Great place and great prices and don't forget your punch card... Love it”
“I really wanted to like it more, but the lack of sorting by size is ridiculous. I'm an XL and very few of their items fit and it's too much work finding anything.”
“Talk about a hole in the wall, a hidden gem, or a diamond in the rough! I love thrifting and checking out all the places to do so when visiting a new town. If I were to come back to the twin cities, I would be sure to stop into the Cat and the Cobra! Locating the store was a little harder than anticipated. It is in the back of the parking lot behind the locked door, but it is the first door inside the building. Not to mention the cool vibes and architecture of the building. I highly recommend walking around and checking it out. There was an amazing selection of any article of clothing you were looking for. I would say the majority of the items were typically priced. Some articles hanging were a little overpriced, but the best part was the bins in the back of the store! I found two shirts in the bins that were $5 each! It was a STEAL of a deal for vintage t-shirts in the condition they were in. I got one ESPN shirt and a Strigus 2006 shirt. Not to mention how fun it is to shift through bins to find those hidden gems of shirts. In addition to a more expensive rainforest cafe t-shirt that was hanging on the walls of shirts. Overall, the service, selection, and value of the store and its articles were top-tier for vintage thrift! I highly recommend stopping in!”
“Awesome place for affordable vintage! Plenty of stuff to look through and very kind shop owner eager to share her store. Discounts and bargains are offered on a dime! Genuinely a hidden gem of a shop. Not too sure what the hair salon in the back is about but the products smelled pleasant when I was browsing clothes nearby.”
“Overall this store had a nice selection of unique pieces, but the price range may be above the average persons. The largest size that had was a vintage XL (new Large). A nice, clean shop.”
“Lots of individually owned stalls here, some with sales. On-street parking is easy. Some pretty cool stuff so if you like such places its worth making a special stop/visit. Allow about an hour and don’t miss the downstairs section.”
“Fabulous vintage store with beautiful clothes and jewelry! The staff and owner are knowledgeable, welcoming and treat you like a friend. I highly recommend The Golden Pearl.”
“Beautiful space. New owner is so personable. OG staff is still around and lovely new additions. Shop is well organized with an array of brands and sizing. Highly recommend consigning and shopping here!!”
“Run mostly by volunteers, incredible team. Super easy to donate. All clothes and Home good are well organized and very fairly priced.Consider donating your children's clothes here, instead of Goodwill.”
“drinking coffee out of a cute lil cup while walking through here is an ideal way to spend a weekend morning. Prices are fair, and the inspiration is priceless. lots of cool things like wooden fish, fiber art, tv trays, random cool vintage fabrics, and all sorts of puzzling kitsch.”
“I’ve been going to Lula’s for a long time. Her reputation in the city is unmatched. And not just for fab party dresses but she might put out a rack out of high-waisted wide-leg 70’s pants that you can't find anywhere else or a pair of 60's virgin wranglers to go with that cashmere coat or summer crop top. It always feels fresh and new when you walk in the store and you'll feel the same when you walk out.But the best part is Hayley. How could you not like someone named after Hayley Mills. Not only does she treat every garment with care and love, she treats all her customers the same.”
“Such a cute vintage shop! Had such a big selection and the paint is such good quality and the owner is so nice. Def recommend to anyone coming through West Saint Paul”
“Great selection! Some of the reviewers here clearly don’t know the effort that goes into not just being a shop, but also PRIMARILY a safe space for many women to gather. Me being a customer comes secondarily to me financially supporting this space.”
“A vintage clothing store that actually has vintage clothing! I mean spearpoints, swing ties, wide lapels and dainty caps, not late 1990s tshirts that are somehow considered vintage now.Stunning selection, and everything is labeled correctly. I spent almost a half hour just looking at all their ties, and another hour just going through the men's section.Decent prices as well, they know what they have, but it's not online vintage resellers levels of inflated.Highly recommend for someone trying to get true vintage pieces”
“My son and I visited here for the first time. He/him is very petite but did find something he liked. I found a perfect hat. There is soooo much in this store! 2 concerns, women sizes only go to large. And it it so tight it is completely disabled impossible!! So only 4 stars. However, we'll be going back! Cool place.”
“This is a great resale shop with lots of high quality furniture, clothing and shoe items. Their prices are reasonable, and for the most part, the staff is friendly and helpful. They do not have a bathroom that you can use and they tell people to go to a restaurant or coffee shop instead...although, it seems to depend on who you ask, because my friend was given the key to the restroom and I was not. Also, they are not always great about explaining all the sales and pricing on the items in a clear fashion. However, I LOVE exploring this shop every time I am in the Twin Cities area, and this one is better than the others.”
