I haven't been to this branch since before Covid. The store is smaller than the big branch in Bloomington but still seems to have a fairly large variety considering the size. Help in the shoe area was good, but the cashier's were more into chatting with each other than helping me at checkout.

Worst experience. Brought my son in to buy a new bike. No person at the bike desk to adjust it for my son so he tried out the bike while we waited.
Unhelpful employee finally comes over after 10 mins to the bike desk to yell at us instead of asking if we needed help and proceeded to help another customer.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME TO THIS LOCATION.

Refused to honor warranty. Terrible store. REI is a great company that I've used for a long time. This Roseville location sucks. Grumpy manager and employees claimed they had never heard of the 1 year exchange policy, and refused to replace my broken Leatherman.

This is a smaller REI store but nonetheless has the quality outdoor equipment that they are known for. I often find it hard to track down a staff member for some of the specialty areas in this store (ie shoes, bikes, etc.). But overall the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Returns are easy with little hassle.

Made a last minute stop at the REI bike shop to purchase a crank removal tool, they did not have one in stock. Jim was extremely helpful and removed it for me on the spot! Extremely helpful staff!

Brought my bike in for a diagnosis of problem and adjustment of stem. Josh in the repair shop was great. He quickly found the issue - cable adjustment needed for derailer and flipped the stem for me. He made great suggestions for an easier ride posture, andvice on maintaining my bike. Great same day service.

After choosing what I wanted, I went to the register only to find a crabby man behind the counter. No hello, no how are you today.
Nothing othe than a person whom acted as though he was being bothered.

This is easily the worst out of all of their locations. The inventory never matches what is on the website, and the staff could not care less. Generally terrible customer service when I go to this location, but there is no excuse to have incorrect inventory levels when it is 2024,

Bought my bike here less than a month ago. Needed a quick tune up and Eloise was amazing. Got me in and out in less that 30 mins. Shopped. Smiled. Walked out with a nicely tuned bike for no charge. Part of buying it there. Thanks for hiring Eloise.

REI usually has what I need on sale-- including a new pair of Danner sandals that I recently purchased. The employees here are very helpful and the in-store selection is huge for all kinds of outdoor activities.

Shout out to Dave in the bike shop - I was having trouble with a Yakima tower (purchased elsewhere) tightening to a crossbar. After some troubleshooting Dave diagnosed the problem, was able to tap/repair the collar around the crossbar so the tower would tighten. Thanks for going above and beyond!
