Had a good experience with a hitch install. Staff were very friendly and proactive, and it was a fair cost.

I can't believe I haven't written a review of Foreign Service yet. Stew is a genius and extremely honest. One of the best independent shops in town; in the state, probably.

Very satisfied with my service here. A different service shop told me the repair and part would be $4000. I brought it here and they actually cleaned the block to see where the leak was coming from and it was ultimately a $150 part that was able to be replaced in an afternoon. It was nice to have an honest approach and very clear cost to the service being proved.

Previous tech speaking; Stew is an amazing mechanic and his knowledge of Pruis’s is remarkable. Very friendly staff and they have a shop cat. Disappointing seeing negative reviews. Id have to imagine those people forgot that repairing your car is and always will be expensive. Would recommend this place to any Toyota/honda/subaru owner.

The best hidden gem mechanic if you own a Prius. They have a stockpile of tested used parts, so if you have something notoriously expensive to fix they won’t bend your wallet over the rails. My wife’s Prius was stolen and crashed the other week, we took it in to get it back up and running so we can eventually sell it next year. Had a grocery list of problems and stew fixed EVERYTHING FOR LIKE $1300, Which would have cost at least 3k at a dealership.Very friendly, very transparent and very trustworthy. I don’t bring my wife’s car anywhere else.

They weren't able to help me, and not a warm welcome even though I was referred to them.

My ‘89 wasn’t starting, so I brought it in and they got it to start….well, enough for me to add on other things like breaks and tires, and brake master cylinder, etc. $2000 and the next day it did the same thing. No start. Towed it back. This time it started the next day, but the following day, Nope. Third time in and it ran intermittently for a nearly a whole WEEK! I think they tried and it seemed like extra service, but in the end nearly $2500 later, I had a paperweight in my driveway. They just didn’t have to expertise to pull it off. Can’t say how the break job was because I’ve only had it running a few days during all this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Services: Tires

So friendly and helpful! I ran into some car trouble while on a road trip and they were able to get my car up and running the same day that I brought it in. They do great work with Priuses.

I received exemplary service from the moment I called and got Stew (the proprietor) on the phone. I told him about how I needed the catalytic converter in my Prius replaced after a theft and not only did he show genuine care for my predicament, he gave me a professional and thorough run-down of options and next steps. When I brought my Prius in, Stew took the time to further educate me on general information regarding Prius maintenance. It was such a pleasure talking with him and I could tell he is passionate and knowledgeable about the work. The replacement itself (I believe done by Diego, Wilson, and Andreas) was phenomenal and my Prius is back to being a sleek, silent machine once again. When I picked the car up, the office person Theresa was so kind and I enjoyed speaking with her as well.TL;DR: Stew and the crew are wonderful, they will do great work on your vehicle, and you will have a delightful time interacting with them. PLUS, the shop is right next to Bent Brewstillery so you can pop in for a beer while you're there!

My 1999 Saab wouldn't turnover so I had it towed to The Foreign Service. There aren't many places willing to work on a 22-year-old car that's no longer in production. The ignition switch was a known problem. Stew, the owner, along with his staff, replaced the switch, resynced the new switch to the security system, installed the correct spark plugs and solved other issues. Now the Saab is running again. They did nice work for me.Services: Engine repair

This shop was recommended to me by a friend. We received excellent customer service and good communication. They fixed my vehicle for $1000 less than I was quoted elsewhere. The vehicle is still running well and I intend to bring it back for future services. Betsy was a huge help!
