AERIE! Inspiring space, inspires you to spend money. The space is filled with empowering words and affirmations. Makes you feel good about yourself and decisions to buy their product. I love the space, although its not tailored for men, I still find it exciting. Product & materials used are silky, and feels good on the skin for sure. Gives their competitors a run for their money. I will be bringing the women in my life to AERIE and this location

i visit this store pretty much every time i go to rosedale mall. i usually stay on the aerie side because i love the loungewear and the bras, and i bought a swimsuit this summer and i am obsessed with it. i don’t shop much on the american eagle side because i feel like their target audience is high schoolers but their jeans are the only jeans i wear anymore. i appreciate that they carry short sizes in store because i’m 5’1 and always need petites and i hate having to order online without knowing if it’ll fit me right. i also feel like the aerie side is usually a bit more calm than the ae side. it’s almost like an immediate difference between the two sides as soon as you cross the door. ae the fitting rooms are always busy and it can be difficult to find an employee to help you but the aerie side there is always someone readily available to help with whatever you need.

Excellent service. While the jacket my son wants was not in stocking his size at the store, a very helpful clerk first checked for the correct size. When he did not find it in store, he went online to confirm they had it and then helped me get it ordered in store, because that way he could offer me free shipping. Then one of his colleagues got me set up on their membership program to save me extra bucks! Love the clerks helpfulness.

i went here yesterday and bought 2 items, I am a minimalist and I guess I do not look like a "typical" aerie shopper? But i used to work here and I value the morals that Aerie promotes! But, when I went in, I felt kind of judged :( I felt a bit stared at almost like I was a weirdo or shop lifter or I do not know what :( It made my shopping experience uncomfortable and made me feel discouraged because it is not what I know the Aerie company strives to value, if that makes sense... Anyways, there was one employee who helped me in the fitting room who was super sweet though! She made me feel better, and welcome which was nice and a relief. But, when I went to the cashier, the girl was dismissive, passive aggressive, and very judgmental :( I felt hurt, especially because I was a paying customer. In terms of the quality of the clothing, I love the soft items, I am a big tactile person, and both AE and Aerie have some great choices for that. The only downfall I'd say is sizing is ALL over the place. If you have body image struggles it definitely can be triggering or even if you do not, it can throw you for a loop. You have to literally try on like 2-3 sizes of the same item just to find the right fit! Like you might leave with a size small in one shirt but the other shirt might be a large and they both fit the same is what I mean. Besides that, I liked the layout of the AE and Aerie, it was clean and well thought out. I remember when I worked there how much effort went into the layout of the store, so major props to y'all for that! A++ :) I guess I just was really taken aback lately by the customer service being so unwelcoming to people like me who maybe are not preppy looking or tweens or look like they have a lot of money on he outside type of thing. It hurts and again, it just feels like such a contradiction to the whole value system that Aerie claims to promote. One should NEVER judge a book by its cover. I know it is important to keep an eye out for theft, but it is also like, I remember learning how the most friendly looking single mom with baby carriage could be the one stealing lots of merchandise, where as the "typical" LOOKING kid with a backpack is actually just coming from school or whatever and shopping. You want your customers to feel GENUINELY welcome-we can see you side-eyeing us and feel you judging us, following us.... we want to be able to look around comfortably! Without feeling this urge to escape. Honestly if I did not feel so pressured and judged especially after the cashier experience I was wanting to look at the American Eagle too, I saw really cute and soft items! But I felt so hurt and judged and discouraged I just left :( I mean this feedback truly with the best of intentions. For improvement. So that hopefully Aerie can go back to being a welcoming non-judgmental environment for everyone, even women who do not necessarily "look" a certain way. Thank you for reading and understanding where I am coming from. I mean it all with the most positive of intentions.
