Please do not purchase a car from here!!! I purchased a car here in April of this year and let me tell you I have had the worse experience of my life. They advertise a great running and rust free car as shown on their pictures/description and it's far from that. After the first week of receiving the car, I had number of issues with it, including the car stopping out of nowhere when driving, engine overheating and fuming smoke, leaks from multiple areas, car not starting, car shaking when driving and that's just 2 name a few. Before calling Ellingson Motorcars or leaving a review, I wanted to verify the problems of the car and make sure they weren't small issues that most classic car have time to time and if that was the case I would obviously have nothing to complain about and get the car fixed but turns out it was quite the opposite, this car was given to me in horrible condition from the bodywork to mechanical work. I took this vehicle to countless shops and mechanics that are friends of mine who I trust and they all said the same thing, the engine was seized and that the rust free car that was advertised is actually just all overspray and that the car is very rusty with some of the rust eating the car up. I have only driven the car once since receiving it so the engine being seized makes no sense on my end. After hearing this I called Scott from Ellingson motorcars and I explained to him the issues I was having with it and the fact that the car turned off on me in the middle of the freeway which could've caused a horrible accident and all he had to say was that theirs nothing he can do about it and its not his problem. Despite hearing him having the remorse for human life, I even offered to ship the car back to them on my expense and asked for a full refund on the car and he declined immediately and proceeded to hang up. Now I'm stuck with a car that's been in the driveway since may because I don't have the funds to fix the car up, and to fix the car it would nearly cost as much as I payed for the vehicle which is absolutely insane. Moral of the story do not trust Scott or do business with Ellingson motorcars, they will literally sell you an unsafe or undriveable car just to stuff their pockets!

This business has morphed some and it's no longer just a museum. Rather, it is also a place where you can purchase cars, but it also means there's been a transition, so there are some newer cars.

I was following a '57 Bonneville purchased by Ellingson that was sold @ auction previously, Ellingson purchased it for $70K 8/16/23, which was a gift of sorts, a quick hammer sell. Apparently from sales records previously owned by Mecum, who took it to 4 auctions where it couldn't break 5 figures until 11/22 where it brought $115K in Vegas, previously it sold for $67K 11/21 in Scottsdale, another quick hammer! This car had fallen into the wrong hands, flippers that wouldn't invest a dime but rather sell at auction, without accountability. The car sat in a museum for 20 years without draining the fuel, it needs the gas tank boiled, new fuel lines, & the fuel injection unit rebuilt. Ellingson had the car for sale from 8/23 with no results, it was then shipped to Auburn, IN 4/27/24 where the bid opened @ $80K by the "invisible man" then bought back by Ellingson, with no bidders. I sent Ellingson a check for a fair price of $90K, considering it's history. Scott called me back to verify receipt of the check but stated he needs more $$$$ to make the deal, as he has it listed for $159K. He then lamented that we're too far apart, would you like me to tear up the check or send it back? I replied "send it back, that's what the self addressed stamped envelope is for". After not receiving the check for 2 weeks I called Scott, asking if he reconsidered since I haven't received the check. He stated that he "put it in the mail". Now you know how he arrives at a selling price, double what he pays then add $$$ for shipping to other auctions to dispose of the car. This facility is for guys with more $$$$ than knowledge. Very disturbing how loose he plays with other's money.

The worst car buying experience of my life, and I have owned many cars. Purchasing a car from this dealership was the biggest mistake I have ever made and I will regret is until the day I die..

The owner grossly misrepresented a vehicle that I drove 2,500 mi round trip to come look at and purchase and take home. He pressured very hard for us to send the money before I got there and found out that the truck was not restored and just had a whole bunch of lipstick put on it. Go look at the vehicles! Do not buy over the internet!

All the cars are for sale. 10$ fee to get in and look around all you like. They do ask that you not touch the cars.
