I was really stressed about getting the layers in my hair fixed before my wedding. They had grown out quite a bit since I had my hair last done and the style was lost. Tuyet completely turned it around for me and demonstrated how to style it for my wedding day. My hair is also very thick and she worked with it no problem. She absolutely made my day and boosted my confidence for wedding photos.

Don't write many poor reviews but felt it necessary to share. My wife had her hair done along with family members as part of a baby shower celebration she was hosting for her sister. The hair dye, style and cut were just under 200$. They were kind enough and prompt during the appointment, my wife tipped well. She was a little concerned that the color treatment she got wasn't what she requested but they told her it would show up better in a few hours. The next day her hair looked essentially the same in color, so effectively she just got a cut and style for the previously mentioned price. She is not the type to complain or cause any issues with the service industry (as she was a part of this industry for many years during college) but was urged by myself and her family to get it corrected before the day of the actual baby shower. My mother in law called and was told that she could come by and they would get her right in to correct the issue. So she went in and waited over an hour to be helped. They did the color and told her that was all she would get since she wasn't a paying customer, so no style or drying. They just said she could go when the treatment was done. There wasn't even anyone up front to take the tip she wanted to leave (she always tips on principal) She had to host the party with a wet head. They got the color right but made her feel ashamed and awkward during the corrective appointment, but more importantly left her looking very underprepaired for hosting her sisters baby shower. This slight courtesy of a hair dryer would have gone a long way here, thumbs down here. Sorry I don't normally write poor reviews (nor do I like to) but noting her feelings that day I thought warranted my speaking up. I hope they would reconsider their level of professionalism in the future.

I went in thinking I’m finally going to get blonde with pink highlights. I went in at 1 one my appointment was and wind up having to wait 20 min to finally get started then she did my hair and it came out like a sunset. She even missed my brown on the front scalp on both sides know I have pink, orange, and yellow hair and I payed $200 I’m so sad I want to cry

I stopped here out of necessity. Everywhere else was closed this particular Sunday. I was nervous going in but was more than happy by the time I left. The ladies there were all amazing. The woman who did my hair did an exceptional job. I always get what I refer to as business casual haircut and she actually did better than most of the other places I go to on a regular basis. I'll be happy to go back next time I'm in the area.

I always thought JCPenney was the place to go for stylish, modern cuts, but I guess a lot has changed since I last visited (my mom and husband both informed me, after the fact, that it's actually the place mature women go for haircuts). The (very sweet!) older woman who cut my hair blew off my description of what I wanted and barely looked at the picture I showed her - she did this multiple times - and continuously told me what she thought I needed. After I pressed again for her to do a bit more for me, she started taking off the smock and essentially told me I could come back and have someone else work on it, and if I want it shorter I should wait until summer anyway (as if the season has anything to do with what I wanted done today). I'm not a confrontational person, but I regret leaving without expressing my dissatisfaction. I told the salon cashier that I was thinking I'd go shorter, and she said the same thing the stylist said, that I can always come back (do I have to pay $30 for that visit, too?) The whole experience was just uncomfortable and disappointing. I'm sure the stylist meant well, but what I wanted was clearly beyond what she was willing to do. Next time I'll go to the Kahler barber shop downtown - I don't know why I thought this salon was the place to go.Service: Haircut

I went in for a haircut this evening I showed them 5 pictures to go off of and I end up with a haircut that is nothing like I asked for. Not worth it.

I asked for shoulder length hair and the stylist added chin length layers to my hair. That’s 4 inch layers I didn’t ask for. She thinned my hair when I didn’t ask her to, and now my hair looks like the hair of a middle aged suburban mom. I’m only 20! Worst haircut I’ve ever had. The guest next to me was loudly humming and the stylist was on the phone yelling at someone. So unprofessional. Don’t come here. They charged me extra for having a lot of hair and to dry my hair. $50 terrible haircut. I’m stuck wearing my hair tied up or in a hat for at least five months...
