The fish were so sick. The store people asking what I wanted them for. Feeder fish. "Good because these fish are not long for this world." Worms were dead in the tubes. Always check before purchasing. Aquarium fish stock is always low and sick. Update: Petco responded to this post. "address this with our team." The team that was honest and has no control over stock or corporate decisions.

We take our dog to Petco for grooming. Naomi always makes her look so pretty we hardly recognize her.

They called us an hour an half after they had her and said she showed her teeth. Which has never done to any groomer then charged us $40 for a bath and had enough nerve to ask if we wanted to tip!!!! Never again!

My nephew and I came to pick up my niece who is a minor that was working in a neighboring store to this Petco location. While we were waiting for her to get off work, we went into Petco to check out their fish selection (before they were closed). My nephew is newer to fish keeping and I was helping him get more fish that would be suitable for his current tank and tank mates. We decided on getting him a Betta. After selecting the fish for him, we went to go check out (at this time, it was after 8 pm and store was closed and my niece arrived outside waiting and was waiting).
My niece was waiting outside because the employee closed the door on her and would not let her in since they were already closed. She informed the employee that she was waiting on us and wanted to come inside (again, she is a minor, it's 58 degrees fahrenheit outside, and didn't feel comfortable waiting out there by herself). The employee declined her request and came to get us (at this point we were already headed to the cashier). I asked them if they could let her inside. They said that she could wait outside while they were ringing up other customers, and then us with our fish, and then we could go out to be with her.
I told them she was a minor and that I did not feel comfortable having her wait outside while we were waiting to get rung up.
The cashier insisted that she can still wait outside (with an attitude at this point).
At this point, I'm in disbelief and told my nephew to put the fish on the counter and that we're leaving. We will not be spending anymore money on a business with employees that don't care about the safety and well-being of others (especially minors).
To the Petco employee: If that were your child, would you still have made them wait outside?

It was time to stock up on dry dog food, Greenies treats, and our dog's favorite, Maro Bones! The staff was very helpful. I couldn't find the Maro Bones, and a staff member showed me where they were, but there were none on the shelf. Then he said he thought there was one more large jar of Maro Bones in the back, and he went in and got it for me. They have first-rate employees at this Petco in Rochester!

It's a pet store. I do wish tho that the crickets were healthy. Most of the time.I get them. and they die in 2 hrs

Collin is amazing! His customer service skills are outstanding, and he genuinely cares about helping customers find what they need. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and always goes the extra mile. I highly recommend Collin for a fantastic and an easy shopping experience

I needed food for a dog I'm watching, the owner told me what to get so off I went to petco. Upon arrival the gal behind the register was on her phone and didn't even acknowledge me. As I went in search of my food of choice I met an associate named Josh, who walked me right to my food and helped me pick out a treat, I then waited to checkout, the cashier wasn't up front. When she finally did get up there, she didn't acknowledge my wait. She then asked for my phone number, I told her politely no, to which she responded "You're generation is the problem". I don't own an animal of my own but I don't think I'd frequent here of that's how I'm treated.

The smell!! It's unreal!! I've been to so many pet stores and not one smells as awful as this place, you can smell the stink outside!! They are also charging more for items in the store than they are online, not sure what that's about.. I guess you have to pay extra for the nauseating smell. They've also started charging .10 cent for bags that 'suck' (the cashiers words).

We were going to Petco for grooming in New York State for all our dogs for all their lives. Petco in Rochester MN NW just refused to take our dogs because one is 17 and one has brachycharia ( slower than average heart beat). We have been using them happily since 2009 in NYS but apparently this place has ridiculous standards
