Where do I start?? I was completely floored by this whole experience. Mayo in itself is overwhelmingly beautiful, well organized and the employees are extremely helpful and friendly. The executive health department is like a well-oiled machine. I have been seeing doctors my whole life on my various issues and I received answers here...finally. These doctors are like no doctors I've ever worked with. I don't know Mayo's recruiting or screening process, but it is flawless. The food and drinks were free throughout the day for patients in the executive health area, which is great when you have back to back appts all day! I was expecting this to be a one and done experience, but now I am planning on returning every year.

If I could give zero stars! My poor son, with a terrible insect bite, got a full-blown parasitic infestation. Dr. Shane Fuentes and Vargas were quacks! Surly, too! Did NOTHING, barely examined him and then today the Mayo ER sent a fax to the doctor saying...sorry we don't handle parasites here. Just CYA by them. Horrible experience. This is supposed to be one of the best hospitals in America. You could fool us!

We knew coming to the Mayo clinic that my son didn't have a cardiology issue, yet that is where they sent us since he's been having chest pains for 10 years. Nothing was wrong of course. No recommendations except to use some topical cream to help the chest pain. Drove 5 hours for nothing since they didn't even recommend visiting a different department to try to figure it out.

It's been ten years since I was here. To this day, I can't stop talking about this place. I have so much to say, but don't have the time to outline how epic this system is. I just wanted to make sure I gave it 5 stars.

Could not have been happier with my consultation visit. All staff very professional and very friendly. This is a very busy clinic and I was shocked to see the number of patients and staff. Mayo has a 5 star reputation and patients come from around the world. My doctor was on time and did a fantastic job of explaining what he was going to do. After the procedure we had a separate appointment to discuss his findings and the potential treatments available. I am very happy I took the 10 hour drive and spent the night across the street from the clinic. My care was great and I now have a greater understanding why this clinic is world renowned. This is definitely a go to place in my book if you need a second opinion.

Neurology department is a joke! I went to see Oliver Tobin about a chest mass that my local neurologist found on my MRI. After arranging and traveling to Rochester for the 2 weeks they require (thousands of dollars wasted) I brought up the "mass" on my initial appointment and Oliver Tobin immediately told me that "it was nothing, similar to a vericose vein" and I was very relieved to say the least! Ultimately, we sat around Rochester for the rest of the 2 weeks they require and on the final meeting with Tobin I asked him how to approach my local neurologist about freaking patients out by telling them they have "chest mass" when there's nothing there. This would be the FIRST TIME Oliver Tobin even bothered to look at the MRI I brought in with all of my medical records and quickly found the mass in question. Again, this was during the FINAL appointment the day before I was to fly home. I still have the chest mass but now I am about $6k poorer after the monumental waste of time that the Mayo clinic Rochester was, especially Oliver Tobin who shouldn't be allowed to practice with his extreme level of incompetence and negligence. I've contacted Mayo"patient relations" and they effectively told me that they don't believe me. Mayo clinic Rochester was by far the worst "healthcare" experience I've ever had!

Best place to get prostate surgery, check out how happy the patient is! So glad cancer caught on time and that results were better than expected! Everyone from surgeon to post surgery therapist were awesome.

Mayo was good and caring a long time ago. My grandfather along with his close friends, the mayo brothers would be turning in their Graves. They see everyone as a number and not actually treating or helping with their issue. Giving fentinal to a patient with ibs and crones. 3 er visits in rw, no beds, ambulance ride, due to reaction.Turning away stroke and heart attack? I maybe got atleast 3 nights of somewhat sleep. MAYBE HAVE SOME EMPATHY ISNSTEAD OF NUMBERS AND DOLLAR SIGNS. YOU WERE ONCE A NON PROFIT HOSPITAL.!!!!!!

Mayo Clinic is awful. The neurology department refused to see me for my lower leg peroneal neuropathy. Their response was "everything has been done already that can be done". This couldn't be further from the truth. As a patient; you must take ownership over your condition and do your own research. After Mayo refused to see me; I went to a doctor in Des Moines, Iowa. I asked him for a skin punch biopsy, because I had a suspicion that I may have small fiber neuropathy. Sure enough, the biopsy came back positive and I was diagnosed with idiopathic small fiber neuropathy. Mayo is the worst. They obviously have an ego, and they make many mistakes. Do not go here!

Had major surgery here. Under prescribed pain medications, upond release 2-3 days after surgery. Was given a literal 1 day prescription of pain medication, which was HALF (mg:mg) of the strength I was receiving hours prior to leaving my hospital bed. Their reasoning? "We don't like to do that". So you cut my pain medication in half after surgery and then act like it's my problem that I'm still in pain? Gaslighting weirdos. Stay away from this progressive liberal ideology nightmare.

They won't see me- I told her it was life and death. She said "I don't know what to tell you, see a local doctor". And this is after I told her I've seen 5, including specialists. When you submit and get denied for lack of availability, they don't let you request again for 6 months. My question was "so people who are very sick request appointments, get denied, and have to suffer for another 6 months?" Her response? "Yeah, basically" I am incredibly unimpressed at how little they care for the health of people reaching out who can't live their lives because of health problems. No one there cares about anything except the money they get from filling the 12 week schedule. No waitlist, no help, no compassion, no actual healing for those who may actually be dying. Literally: screw this place. I don't care if they have the best doctors, they are awful to potential patients. The ones scheduled and paying....that's another story. Healthcare is supposed to be there to fix the ill. They are not.

Voted #1 for good reason. Mayo Dr's and staff are world class. I live in Montana and travel to Mayo multiple times per year for cancer treatment and follow ups. Aside from "World Class" medical care; the clinic and hospital campus is beautiful and very well taken care of. They obviously focus on the details. Mayo is quite remarkable
