I'm a mailman, trying to find a great mechanic that you can count on and trust is one of the things in this life that's keeping people up. My every single co-workers recommended this place. John is super. Honest, reasonable, always ready when they say it will be. Totally recommend this place!! A couple weeks ago, my old Jeep hardly shaked and maintenance light came on in my car, and I got nervous something serious could be wrong, so I decided to give him a shot and see what he said. John was super nice in diagnosing my problem, and after I explained a noise coming out of my car he told me he would check that out as well. I'm so thankful I can drive my car again! Trust me, the shop is run by an excellent owner who work fast and do a good job. You know your car is in trustworthy hands. The shop is also walking distance to the Rochester post office, really convenient to me. John's garage is the place to go! If you don't believe me just read the other reviews. Thanks John. Hands down the best car shop I've been to. John is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful (without being condescending, for those of us that aren't auto experts). I just moved here from a warm climate, and he gave me tons of tips. He even helped clean the leaves out from under my hood and made sure the battery jumper pack I bought would work well for my car. The appointment took a little longer than expected because he was so thorough, so next time I probably won't plan on staying/ waiting while he works. Very reasonable prices and stellar service. Won't dread taking my car in any more like I used to.

John has done work on my car 3 times. I once took my car to another place in Rochester just to see what they said. They told me the repair would cost over 800 dollars, I didn’t trust that. I then took it to John and it was 400 dollars. It’s nice to know you’re dealing with an honest person.Services: Oil change

Very knowledgeable, diligent, and practical. Visiting town after driving from the east coast, car had an unusual front end noise and a local relative recommended taking it to John. Sure glad he did ... great place to take your car for service!

If you need any maintenance done to your car, I 100% recommend John’s Garage. The customer service experience that I received was unlike any other. John is personable, trustworthy, and kind. He took very good care of my car throughout the entire process and charged a very fair price. I will be bringing my car in for any repairs needed from here on out.

Fantastic shop. John is very honest and I've learned a lot about cars just from talking with him about mine. Out of curiosity I've called around for quotes and he's always been the best price too.
