I highly recommend Gernetz Auto Service. I recently moved from Charlotte, NC (where only rear license plates are required) to Red Wing (where both front and rear license plates are required) but my car wasn't built for front license plates. Greg installed my new Minnesota license plates for me and welcomed me to Minnesota. I will definitely be going to Gernetz for service as long as I am living near Red Wing. Yet another of the very kind people I've met since my move to Red Wing!

The owner of this business physically stopped a 17 year old girl and her mother from leaving the business because he was upset she dumped out some soda. His actions resulted in a car door being bashed into the 17 year olds child head and the child now has a concussion right before her senior year of school.

avvagael has a concussion! from the guy who owns gernentz auto slamming her head in the car door for dumping out some pop on the concrete. and get this, after she dumped the pop she put the trash from the empty taco bell pop cup back in our car before dude ever even came over! why? because we dont ever mf litter! we the ones that pick that shit up, not contribute....and dude come over yelling about some litter!?!?!?! she never mf littered and now my baby got a whole concussion. we pick up litter, we don't contribute to it. he should have never even come over to approach my daughter. straight up. he was hostile from the jump. i kept on telling him dude that's my 17 year old leave her the fuck alone. everything happened so fast within 30 seconds but i wish i would have gotten out the car immediately. it was just pop. pop on the ground. that's it. it washes away bruhh. and now my baby has a fucking concussion. it takes at least 2 weeks for a concussion to heal properly and sometimes it takes months, and school is starting in a freaking week. and he did commit a crime by holding her door n not allowing her to shut it or leave, it was called false imprisonment.also, i was so wrapped up in the situation and trying to get them to do something i didnt notice till afterwards, but avva said the rw police dept didnt even take any pictures of her head. how in the fuck???? i hope thats not mf true. istfg!

We returned to our car parked downtown and discovered it had a flat tire. Gernentz Auto was within walking distance and they kindly borrowed my husband a jack. Once the spare was on we drove up and they very efficiently and affordably patched the tire and we were on our way. Appreciate this business!!

He has always given our family great service and truly is an all around nice and honest man!! He’s a great mechanic and thorough at what he does, but doesn’t attempt to repair things that are not needed. Saying he’s a great mechanic is an understatement. Hope he never retires because it’ll be hard to find another like him!
