We had to move to a different state recently, otherwise Armstrong Ranch Kennels would be my go-to place for boarding my dog. He's reactive, especially with other dogs, so I was pleasantly surprised at their pick up/drop off process. Instead of dragging your dog into a busy lobby full of other dogs, they come out to your car and take your dog directly to their kennel. They also have indoor/outdoor runs with walls built in between them for privacy. I think this is why my dog would come home completely relaxed, acted like himself, and didn't seem stressed at all. That has not been the case at any other boarding facility I've taken him to. I also appreciated that they gave us a report card of my dogs stay each time we booked him there. Overall, it feels like they have your dog's best interest in mind and we had a good experience there.

I had gone to vacation 2 days for Christmas 24 and 25 i was going to pick up my dog on 26 but then manager or owner ranch kennels stated four day minimum which was never told to me from the beginning I was fine with it. I ask one of the worker if I could pick her up Instead on Wednesday before noon sense am going to be charged for 4 days . She replied that I would not be charged four day if I pick her up before noon. I was charged all 4 day. On top this I get home Take my dog a Bath. And there is a huge laceration on a right leg that I was not told about. I called them to investigate to see what happened i'm waiting for the response. I will not be taking my dog there anymore I don't trust them. It would have been nice for them to let me know before i picked up my dog or give me a call or a message about the her cut on her leg.

So this has been on my mind for a while now just never really wanted to speak out until I read more reviews. I had brought my pup to this kennel in the beginning of the year I know I’m late to it. But couldn’t hold back anymore.I had brought my rescue here and at the time he was 7 months. I was promised my dog would be well taken care of. When my friend dropped him off she was greeted with not so nice customer service. Later on when I went to pick him up. They informed me that he was a barker and never stopped. I picked my dog up overweight, sore and raspy throat, and worst of all since then he has had a fear of men when he has never had before I brought him here I’m going on 10 months and he still is fearful of men. Noticed this weeks after bringing him home in the beginning of the year. Never thought much of it until I read more posts. when the people who work their act like they hate their job I wonder what our little pups go through.Honestly the place I bring him now absolutely loves him and they’ve never once ever complained about barking.I know it’s 10 months late but it’s around the holidays and just wanted to warn people to check where you bring your pups over the holidays

Our dogs love coming here - we love that they are treated well and can stay together while we’re traveling. It’s so nice to see their “report card” when we pick them up - so we know how their stay went. Staff is very kind. Armstrong Kennels is our go to!

Our dog loves staying here! They take such great care of him with daily walks and personal play times. They have a lot of space and (generally) a lot of availability. They are very nice and friendly! Great service, would highly recommend giving them a visit and trying them out.

The Ranch is large with fantastic facilities, our dog seems to have enjoyed her stay here during our last trip, we would definitely recommend checking this one out!

They took great care of my dog who isn't the easiest to handle. Their boarding facilities are clean and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They gave my dog her medication on time and gave me a signed record of it when her stay was finished. I will definitely return here for future boarding.

Very professional dog kennel. These people really understand dogs, and they work with the owners to create a smooth experience in choosing activities for your dog while being boarded. Excellent Kennels. And they do cats as well.

We've been kenneling our dogs here for over 20 years. Beautiful grounds that your dogs can walk and play on and clean kennels. Cheaper than most places in the Twin Cities. Yes, they are a bit of a drive to get to, but well worth it!

Staff are friendly and professional, patient with my high energy dog. My dog is provided a consistent and healthy schedule. I am able to feel that my dog is in a safe environment and that allows me to enjoy my time away. And all for a very reasonable price!

Highly recommend! This was my first time boarding- I was gone for 10 days and I was super nervous - I have a German shepherd and she’s never been away from us- she gets scared and kind of reactive towards people she doesn’t know and they assured me everything would be okay and that they have dealt with plenty dogs like her & she will be on her own in her own kennel/ lane.let me tell ya they did great with her and the communication was 10/10. I am so relieved it worked out. I will always use this place and refer them to everyone I know. Very clean and the owners are so nice and understanding.

A little far away from downtown Minneapolis, being located in Ramsey, great nature, great professionalism, very friendly staff, amazing care for the animals. While it is a little on the expensive side, it is very well worth it and your animals will come back happy and healthy!
